obviously we can only guess what the Captain would be like when in a relationship but do we think the whole Havers situation instilled a "leave before you are left" response in him in the future?

When you woke up, your face was still stained with tears from the night before. You were afraid to move, your ankle rubbed raw from pulling against the chain connecting you to the wall next to your bed. You didn’t move when the door to the room opened, and you didn’t react when someone walked towards you.
“ ‘Mornin sweetheart,” Deans voice whispered. He sat on the edge of the bed, reaching down to your feet. They always sent Dean in after a rough night. Whether you liked it or not, Dean had a calming feeling that Seth and Roman didn’t always have.
He lifted the blanket off of your feet, reached down and unlocked the restraint. You quickly pulled your leg up, but he caught it and brought it back down.
“What’s this?” He mumbled, looking over the marked up area on your ankle.
“The chain…” you whispered, to quiet for him to hear. They always did this, pretended they didn’t remember what happened. It would happen later when the marks on your neck and chin were seen from everyone. They would act worried, like Roman hadn’t manhandled you the night prior.
“Come on, it’s a special day.” Dean pulled you to your feet. Without the blanket you shivered, not because it was cold but because you were completely naked. You stood there while Dean dressed you, slipping some socks on your feet-never shoes. Shoes were a privilege. One you hadn’t earned.
“Look at you.” Dean chuckled, admiring you. He always looked at you like you were the world to him. Let’s head downstairs and-“ he cut himself off when you started crying. He didn’t say anything to as his arms wrapped around your body, holding you as you sobbed. That was one thing you really liked about Dean. Roman or Seth would be asking questions, trying to force you to explain your emotions. Dean just let you have them.
After a few minutes of crying, you pulled away and whipped your face. You were ready to face them. Dean took your hand, and led you out of the room. The hard floor but into your feet after not walking all night.
“Do you remember what day it is?” Dean asked as you both turned the corner to the stairs. And you could see the large tree lit up, the gifts, all of it. Christmas.
“Took you long enough! We thought you were hiding her from us.” Seth hollered up at you, a huge smiling on his face. Dean helped you down the stairs before letting Seth pick you up. He pushed his lips into yours, so pacing a small kiss. Which you were thankful of. It meant you didn’t have to kiss him back.
“Keep it in your pants Rollins. Let’s get the day started,” Roman said from his seat on the couch. You glanced over Seth’s shoulder to see him, smiling when his eyes met yours. You quickly looked back down practically latching onto Seth, which of course he loved.
Seth carried you over to the couch, sitting down to hold you while Roman and Dean sat on either side.
“This one first,” Roman leaned over to set the gift on your lap. You flinched a bit, but Seth’s hold righted a bit to hold you still. It was a small box, not actually wrapped but made to look like one. After a deep breath, you pulled the box open.
It was a small picture frame, and inside was a photo of yourself and the boys. It was the first night you were there, you were tied down on the bed and the boys were around you. Dean and Seth were sat next to you, and Romans face was sticking out as he was taking the photo. Each of the boys had a huge smile on their face, but your face showed just fear. You could feel the burns on your ankles and wrists from that night.
“Ro…” Dean whispered, as though surprised by the photo. For a moment, fear left your body and it was all replaced by anger. You jumped up, and before any of them could react you slammed the photo into Roman’s face. You all stood silent, watching as the photo fell from his face. He had a few cuts, which he reached up to feel the bit of blood.
Before he could respond, Dean had shot up and wrapped his arms around you. Which in turn, caused Roman to get up.
“I got this!” Dean quickly yelled, holding you away from Roman as you fought him.
“Fuck you!” You screamed at all of them.
“Seth,” Roman groaned, whipping the blood away again.
“On it,” you heard. You felt a hand on your head, holding it down on Deans chest.
“I’m sorry baby…” Dean mumbled as a needle poked your neck. After a moment you felt all of your energy leaving your body. You slumped against Deans chest, your head loosing every thought.
Romans face appeared in front of you, and you felt your brain struggle to form a thought. “Your… face…” you struggled to say. One of your hands reached out as best as it could, and Roman took you from Dean.
“Are you going to apologize?” Roman asked, raising an eye brow.
“Apologize-“ you struggled to think before finding the words. “ ‘m sorry” he pulled you to his chest, rubbing small circles on your back. He glanced up at the other two. Both looked tired, all three had plans to celebrate with you today.
“I’ll tell you what baby, I’ll forgive you but you have to be willing to spend a good day with us.” Roman offered, waiting for an answer.
“Forgiv- ya. Have a good day…” you agreed with him.
“Ok.” Roman looked up at the other two again. “Ok?”
“Ok”
“Ok” they both answered. No one wanted to see another outburst, and both were just happy to see you calm again.

TW: blood, violence
Your eyes shot open as a bright flash flooded the room. You barely had time to realize what was happening before the sky growled at you. A thunderstorm. Great. Just what you needed right now.
You took a few seconds to breathe and calm down. Your heart was beating so fast you couldn’t hear yourself think. There was another flash of light. You got ready to count, trying to guess how far the storm was, but thunder followed immediately after.
Quickly you reached for the lamp on the nightstand. You struggle a bit, not yet used to this bedroom but finally managed to find the switch. You turned it on. Nothing. You tried again, trying to convince yourself that this time it would work, but no, the light wouldn’t turn on. Slowly, you laid back down on the bed, trembling. You wished the boys hadn’t left the house. You tried once again to calm yourself down but it was too late, the memories came flooding back.
You found yourself in your childhood bedroom. You were 10 years old again. It had been a similar night, a big thunderstorm that seemed to loom right over your house. As if the storm had been created specifically for you. You had woken up to a loud crash coming from downstairs. You called for your mom. No answer. Your dad. No answer. Quietly, you made your way out of your bedroom, tiptoeing to the staircase. You could hear noise coming from downstairs. It must have been your dad, trying to find a flashlight or candles in the dark, as there was a lot of shuffling around. You made your way to the kitchen but were stopped a few feet before you could reach the door. You stepped into something. It soaked slowly through your sock as if it was thicker than water. You looked down, only to see your mother lying on the ground, blood dripping from her forehead. You ran into the kitchen screaming to get your dad’s attention, only to trip on something and fall face-first. You looked over your shoulder and saw your dad, hands and legs tied, with a long cut running along his left arm. He shouted something at you, but you were too stunned to even move. Before you knew it, a man grabbed you from behind. You tried to wriggle free, trashing around, hitting him, but you were ten. Nothing you could do was ever going to make him lose his grip. He shoved you into the bathroom and you hit your head on the bathtub. Your vision had gotten blurry, but you had felt him tie your legs together, shove something in your mouth and put a blindfold over your eyes. The rest had been a complete blackout. You had woken up the next day, in a hospital, your parents in the adjacent rooms. In the end, no one had died. It had been a robbery gone wrong though the robbers had never been apprehended.
Another bright flash. The memory started to fade away. Thunder. You realized you were crying and crying without restraint. And it felt good. You suddenly realized how grateful you were to Hannibal. During the last few months, things had went from bad to worse and meeting them was the only thing going right for you. Getting fired from your job at an art museum in New York, the very place you met Hannibal for the first time, was quickly followed by getting dump, seeing your rent increased and having to move back in with your parents. Baltimore was a nice city, that was certain, but compared to New York… Still, some luck came out of all this since not even a day after you moved back in, you bumped into Hannibal. You had always liked him, his conversation about art and history, though you never really understood what he found so interesting in you. Yet, he had always been friendly, and after learning what had happened, he didn’t even hesitate before asking you if you wanted to stay with him. You refused politely at first, but after staying with your parents for a week, you quickly accepted his offer. You knew little of Hannibal’s personal life but you were surprised to learn that someone else had been living with him. Well, someone and his dogs. Will Graham was his name. As for the dogs, even after weeks of staying there, you could never remember which was which.
Barking dragged you out of your thoughts and snapped you back to reality. Another flash of light. Then thunder. Then thunder. Again? That couldn’t be right. The dogs were barking louder now, some had clearly left the bottom of the stairs. Something must have fallen and caused a loud crash. Or someone could’ve been trying to get in. Hesitantly, you grabbed your phone and turned on the flashlight. Hannibal’s house was one of the most secure places you had ever lived in. There was no way someone was actually in the house. But with the power out, you couldn’t help but worry.
Quietly, you got out of bed and made your way to the stairs. You would stop every now and then, listening for any weird sounds. You met the dogs at the bottom of the stairs and stopped to pet them. Their tails were wagging and they didn’t seem too worried unlike you. You stopped and listened. You could only hear silence and rain, which would’ve calmed you if lightning didn’t come back at the same time, thunder still following closely after. This storm was definitely not going anywhere. And there it was again, the other crash. Now that you were waiting for it, it sounded more like a tear. One of the bigger dogs came running towards you from the front door. Out of precaution, you went to check if it was still locked. The house was so quiet, no one could’ve actually gotten inside. As it turned out, the door was still locked. With two of Will’s bigger dogs now following you, you made your way around the first floor, checking every door and window. Everything was in order, yet you couldn’t find what caused the crash. You sat on the couch, too scared to go back up. At least, if you were downstairs, the dogs could stay with you. Will and Hannibal only left to see a play, surely they would be back soon. You just had to fight sleep for an hour, maybe two. You look down at your phone to see the time. 12:45 and a dangerously low battery percentage.
“Fuck!” you said out loud.
If you wanted it to last, in case of an emergency, you would have to turn the flashlight off. Which meant staying in the dark. Reluctantly, you grabbed a blanket and replaced the pillows on the couch. If you had to spend the rest of the night here, in the dark, you might as well be comfortable. The dogs had gathered at the feet of the couch.
“You don’t want me to turn off the light either, mmh?” you asked them, “let’s just hope Will and Hannibal get back soon.”
Their heads tilted to the side as they heard Will’s name. You couldn’t help but smile. You took a deep breath before turning off the flashlight, only to be startled by another round of lightning and thunder. You almost dropped your phone. You were getting more and more nervous, and more and more tired.
You wrapped yourself in the blanket, resting your head on a pillow. Maybe you could rest for just a few seconds. The dogs were close by. If the noise came back, surely they would wake you. Lightning and thunder were still raging outside, but the adrenaline slowly fading got the better of you and you drifted to sleep.
It was only hours later that the dogs woke you up with their barking, though you wouldn’t know that until the morning.
“Shh, quiet down,” said Will.
“What?” you asked, starting to wake up slowly.
“Not you Y/N, the dogs, just go back to sleep.”
You groaned before lifting the blanket above your head. You weren’t sure exactly what was going on.
“Come on get off the couch,” Will said.
You were about to complain when you felt a weight lift from your legs.
“That’s it, you know you aren’t allowed on that,” said Will.
“Will what’s…” you started, only to be cut off by another voice.
“Shh, Y/N, go back to sleep.”
It was Hannibal.
“Will, get your dogs out of here,” he went on, “please.”
“I’m sorry,” you said, lowering the blanket.
You saw that he was kneeling by your side.
“What for?”
“I don’t… I don’t know actually. I…”
“How come you’re here,” he asked, moving a strand of your hair away from your face.
“I’m not… I’m not sure.”
But as you said that, lightning stroke. A small cry escaped your lips as you gripped the blanket tightly.
“Oh, I see,” Hannibal said, “It’s alright dear, let’s get you upstairs.
He kissed your forehead gently before getting up. You got up on your elbow slowly. You weren’t completely awake yet, and somehow, doing so made you dizzy.
“Oh, no, no, lie back down,” Hannibal said.
“But you said we needed to go,” you said plopping back down on the couch.
“I got you, just go back to sleep. Please Y/N.”
Gently, he placed one hand around your shoulders and the other under your legs.
“You… you can’t pick me up, I’ll get up,” you said, trying to wriggle out of his arms.
It didn’t work really well and before you knew it, you were off the couch and in Hannibal’s arms.
“Let me down,” you said now fully awake, “This is embarrassing.”
But before you knew it, lightning and thunder were back. You shut your eyes tightly and hid your face in Hannibal’s shoulder.
“It’s alright,” he said, chuckling lightly.
The memories from earlier all flooded back at once. Your heart was beating faster and you started trembling.
“It’s alright, Y/N,” he said now seriously, “You’re safe, you’re inside, we’re here with you.”
He kissed the top of your head. You believed him, yet you couldn’t open your eyes.
“What’s going on,” asked Will.
You hadn’t even noticed he came back.
“I don’t think Y/N is too fond of thunderstorms,” said Hannibal, turning to face Will.
You still hid your face as tears were running down your face. You had just remembered the noise. The loud crash. The sound of someone entering the house. The sound of someone stabbing your mother and the sound of someone throwing you in a dark bathroom.
“There was a noise,” you finally said, barely whispering.
No one seemed to notice.
“Something going back to their childhood if I’m not mistaken,” Hannibal added.
How he knew that, you couldn’t understand. Part of you was grateful though, that you wouldn’t have to explain yourself.
“There was a noise,” you said again, tugging slightly on Hannibal’s shirt. You could still hear your heart beating in your ears; their voices sounded muffled.
“I’m sure it was nothing, Y/N. You’re safe now, we’re here.”
“What did they say,” asked Will.
“They heard a noise.”
“A big branch fell from a tree in the backyard, I spotted it when I let the dogs out. That could’ve been it.”
“See, Y/N, nothing to worry about.”
You let go of his shirt and let him take you up the stairs, back to your room.
“Will, would you please…” Hannibal trailed off as he got to your bed.
“Oh sure,” Will said, quickly moving the bed cover.
Gently, Hannibal set you down on the bed, but you clutched to the sleeve of his shirt.
“Please don’t go,” you said quietly, “the storm isn’t over, it might come back.”
“What would, dear?”
“The noise, the…”
“Yes?”
“The… nevermind…”
You felt tears running down your face again.
“You’ll stay close?” you finally asked.
“Of course, “he answered.
Carefully, he pulled the covers over you. He wiped away the tears from your cheek with his thumb and brushed your hair back.
“Of course I’ll stay close,” he repeated, kissing your forehead one last time.
You watched him leave. He stopped, as he turned around and smiled at Will. He whispered something to him you couldn’t quite understand and left, leaving the door slightly open.
“Goodnight,” you said to Will, expecting him to be leaving as well.
“Actually, can I stay for a minute,” he asks, gesturing towards the foot of your bed.
“Sure, “ you said as he sat down.
You stared at each other for a minute before he spoke.
“I’m sorry for waking you up.”
“It’s okay… and thanks,” you answered smiling softly.
“For what?”
“Finding what caused the noise.”
“I mean… I didn’t go looking for it… I… it’s no problem, really,” he finally said, “Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”
“I think I will.”
“Thunderstorm, not really your thing?”
“No, not really…”
He was about to get up when the door opened and a Border Collie made its way inside.
“What are you doing here?” Will asked, bending to pet the dog, “You know you aren’t allowed upstairs.”
He picked up the dog and turned to you.
“You know she was sleeping on your legs when you were on the couch?” he asked.
“I didn’t even notice she had climbed on, honestly,” you said.
“Well, goodnight,” he said smiling at you, “I have to bring this one back downstairs now.”
“She can stay with Y/N,” said Hannibal loudly from another room.
“Really!” you said suddenly sitting up.
“But just for tonight,” Hannibal added.
You petted her head. She seemed to be smiling at you. You rested your head on Will’s shoulder.
“Have you ever had a dog,” he asked.
“No, my dad’s allergic to them. My neighbours did have one. He was terribly afraid of fireworks and would always escape in our yard.”
“I use to have one like that,” he said, “Fireworks and thunderstorms just weren’t his thing.”
“So what did you do?”
“I loved him. I hold him close and I loved him,” he said wrapping an arm around your shoulders.
“But, what happened when you weren’t there?”
“I’d find him curled up between the other dogs. They learn to take care of each other you know?”
“That’s nice,” you mumbled.
Already, you were falling asleep again.
“Let’s get you to bed now, how about that?” he said, before tucking you in.
The Border Collie curled up at the foot of your bed, resting her head on your legs.
“Goodnight, Y/N.”
“Goodnight, Will.”

You never thought you would want kids of your own, adopting already children was completely fine but when it came to having your own you weren't too sure. However, you do know what it might be like to have a baby, that is to say, your injured husband was basically an overgrown baby. Ultimately it was your fault, the man kept pulling his stitches trying to do anything, which made both you and Ranboo frustrated as hell. Technoblade just couldn't sit still and it was driving you mad, you'd scold him and much like a child he'd pout and tell you no. After the fourth time pulling the stitches while he was trying to tame a polar bear, you had bound him to the bed. Not physically, of course, but if you saw him out of bed you'd usher him back in with whatever bribes that were needed to convince. Technoblade was understandably not happy with this development, but the brides always seemed to work, if they didn't you'd pull out the big guns. Appealing to the voices always seemed to work without fail, whether it be only referring to them or ignoring him completely they always got him to shut up and sit down. At the end of the third week, he seemed to be so used to your constant attention and nurse-like tenderness that whenever you weren't fully tending to him he had a tantrum. You tried to be patient, especially because it was partially your fault he was injured in the first place, but you couldn't help but get annoyed at his clinginess.
"Techno. Baby, you have to let go of me." His arms were wrapped securely around your waist, you both were sitting on a small cot by the fire. You allowed him to get out of bed sometimes okay, you weren't a monster; so long as he wasn't out fighting monsters and blowing up nations. He let out a deep purr and buried his head in your chest,
"No, I don't think I will," He mused a smirk evident in his voice although you couldn't see his face. You tsked softly, running your fingers through his hair,
"Tech?"
"Hm."
"Let go of me or I will take a pair of scissors to your hair." His hands immediately released their hold on you, he pulled away from your warm body, a pout etched across his features. "Thank you, my love," You kissed his forehead and he relaxed just slightly. "You think you can make it to the kitchen on your own for some lunch?" You gave a tilt to your head and Technoblade smiled softly,
"I'll head there in a few minutes, I wanna try and clean up on my own first, I feel gross." Technoblade sat up with a wince his bandages needed cleaning, he gave his neck a crack to shake away any residual pain. He stood up letting the blankets slide down his body; his hair had been perpetually tied up in a messy bun; his stubble was also slightly overgrown. He needed a makeover desperately, the voices were very much in agreement when he caught a glimpse of himself in a nearby mirror. Steve, the polar bear Techno adopted, grunted as he felt Technoblade move. Technoblade watched you coo at the bear and kissed the top of his fuzzy head, for someone who was so mad he adopted him. You sure acted like the bear was your new best friend, especially considering you let the bear sleep in the bed with the both of you.
"Alright, any lunch requests?"
"Anything you desire," He gently rubbed his chin against your cheek and your nose scrunched up at the feeling.
"You're prickly."
"Good or bad?"
"Well, you're hot with the stubble. So I guess a little beard is a good thing," You scratched under his chin and he purred loudly.
'We are never shaving again are we in agreement on that? Yes, obviously. Anything for her.'
"Now shoo," You ushered him towards the bathroom he slid inside with a dopey smile. He heard you call Steve over to you making sure he was just as fed like any other person in your band of misfits. Once you were officially in the kitchen was when Technoblade got a good look at himself for the first time in weeks. He was right in assuming his facial hair definitely needed at least a trim, his hair probably could use one as well now that he thought about it. He undid the bun and let his hair fall over his shoulders, at this point, it reached his mid-back. It was a bit tangled and didn't feel as soft as it usually did, he was sick of it. Technoblade picked up his trusty bathroom sword and held it in his hands, he turned the sharp blade over in his hands a few times in contemplation. Technoblade moved and placed it on the edge of the sink, he moved his hair to the front of his chest, taking the sword in another hand and slicing through his pink locks. They fluttered to the floor and his eyes drifted back over to the mirror, his hair now came down just below his shoulders. He ran his fingers through his freshly cut hair, ruffling it up just a little, he liked the new look. Technoblade tossed his loose shirt on the floor and gently removed his bandages, he didn't even bother looking at his wound, it was just another scar to add to the hundreds littering his body. However, this one he was okay acquiring, he got it protecting you, the women he loved, from Dream. He smiled softly as the smell of food wafted through the house from downstairs.
He'd never truly get used to your domesticity.
Technoblade's pants were next as he turned on the shower, he slid into the water once it warmed up to the appropriate temperature. He let the water cascade down his face, it stung his fresh wound but it felt good to finally feel clean and fresh. The shower went much faster than usual now that he didn't have all that hair to wash. After the shower he wrapped a towel around his waist, it hung low on his hips as he shook out his wet hair much like a dog. He decided to stick a little braid in his hair just so he could add a little flair, a knock sounded on the door and he met his own eyes in the mirror. The door opened with a soft creak and you were standing in the doorway with a smile. He flushed when you let out a low whistle,
"Didn't mean to disturb you, hot stuff." You winked and he gave you a sharp look to cover up his embarrassment. "What's that for? We literally have seen one another naked like a million times," You snickered your smile turning fond as you drank in his body.
"Hey. My eyes are up here Princess," He mused grabbing your chin to make you look in his eyes. Now it was your turn to flush and he smirked devilishly, "I'm glad you like what you see." You reached up and ran your fingers through his hair playing with the freshly cut ends,
"You cut your hair." You murmured still mesmerized by Technoblade's red eyes, he hummed softly staring at your beautiful features. "It looks amazing, I love it, and I love you," You spoke tenderly hands running down his chest.
"I love you too Princess," Technoblade murmured trying to ignore the roaring voices in the back of his mind. They were pleading with him to kiss her, mark her up and go feral on his wife. He took in a shaky breath and you frowned, "the voices," he let out a deep chuckle, "they love you."
SPICE
"I love them too. So listen to them and kiss me already." You yanked him close using the top of his towel, he made an embarrassing noise when his towel began to slip, he felt like praying when it stayed up by some grace of God. Your lips crashed together and he let out a breathy sigh relaxing into your blistering kiss, his hands landed on your hips and he squeezed them tightly. Technoblade nipped at your mouth, his tusks brushing against your upper lip, and you made a soft sound in the back of your throat when you felt them make contact. It made Techno and the voices preen in delight as he pushed you against the wall of your bathroom, his big hands sliding up the bottom of your shirt. He felt your hands tug at the hair by his scalp and he let out a deep groan,
'Neck. Bite her neck. Leave a mark, leave many! We don't care, do something. Please Technoblade listen to us!'
Technoblade growled under his breath as he attacked your neck, you let your head fall back against the wall. You let out a little sound of your own, and he purred deeply pleased by your reactivity.
'She'd make such a good mother.'
SPICE OVER
Technoblade's eyes snapped open and he pulled away from your neck, you let out a deep whine of protest. You reached out to him, hands falling on the back of his neck, chest heaving deeply. That thought intermixed with the wishes of the voices, you a mother? Him a father? The thought shook him to the very core no matter how much his body liked the thought.
"Bubs...?" You asked drearily, eyes blinking as you came down from your mini-high, "You okay?"
"Fine." Technoblade cleared his throat, his ears red and he refused to meet his wife's eyes, you frowned in concern.
"Too much?"
"Sorry," Technoblade murmured sheepishly and you shook your head, pinching the warrior's cheek.
"Don't apologize for that, I'm a big girl." You laughed softly kissing the tip of his nose, "I wanted to tell you lunch was ready before you rudely interrupted me."
"Eh? Rudely?" He huffed as you moved away from the wall, a teasing grin on your lips, he watched you walk away with a swing of your hips and he groaned in distress. Technoblade gathered himself together and got changed, as he came down the ladder to see you wearing a little apron and had lunch set up on the counter. His heart stopped in his chest, you were just too cute and domestic, "meat and potatoes?" He piped up sniffing the air as he sat down at the table you nodded happily.
"I know it's your favorite. I thought you deserved it after everything," You hummed softly cupping his cheek before sitting down across from him. Technoblade raised a hard eyebrow and clicked his tongue,
"It was nothing, just a flesh wound." Technoblade waved you off digging into his meal, "I meant it when I said I'd kill for you."
"I know you would, and believe me that is so hot. Even so, I'd be lost without you, so I just want to thank you." You bit your lip fiddling with the lace of your apron, "I'll never be able to repay you."
Technoblade put his fork down and huffed, "Stop talking nonsense Princess, got that? You're my wife now you don't need to repay me for anything." You looked at your lap and smiled shyly, "I love you."
"I love you more."
He scoffed with a fond eye roll but didn't argue with you, instead choosing to focus on his meal. Technoblade looked up at you as you finished up your food, with a soft hum he tilted his head to the side, "Princess?"
"What's up bubs?"
"We should do some trading in the Nether, before you say no, it's an easy enough adventure where I won't get hurt. We just wear some gold, and we'll be in and out." He watched your eyebrow twitch, "I will go with or without you. Just so you know." You flicked some potato at him which he scoffed at with an eye roll,
"Fine. We can go, but no fighting anything got that," You pointed a stern finger at him, Technoblade scoffed but agreed nonetheless. You both got adorned in your finest gold and Technoblade couldn't help but grab your neck, tilting your head upwards to swallow your lips with a kiss. You giggled softly as you both walked towards the Nether, his tail was wrapped around your waist as he glared at anything with a pulse. When you wore gold, his piglin protectiveness won over his usual aloof self. He couldn't stop glancing at the gold wedding band on your hand as you entered the portal, the piglin's heads already were paying attention to the newcomers. Techno let out a low growl underneath his breath and at least some of them seemed to get the picture, Techno split his gold bricks with you and the two of you parted. Oddly enough, Technoblade was having difficulty finding anyone to trade with him, they'd huff and tell him to get lost in piglin and that rubbed him the wrong way. He only ended up getting a few pearls and some soul sand, Technoblade moved to find his wife only to see you surrounded by a horde of his brethren. His jaw tensed as he saw you flush as a piglin desperately handed you some netherite, you thanked them softly and their squeals increased happily. They were complimenting you in piglin not that you would understand them, gushing about how pretty you were and how good you looked dripping in gold. Technoblade and the voices weren't amused. His brow furrowed as the voices demanded blood, he tried to march over but he was practically shoved out of the way when they saw him trying to get closer to you. Technoblade snarled at their advancements, his hand twitching at his sword just itching to grab at it and spill their blood, but he couldn't risk hurting you in the process.
Couldn't they smell him all over you? Did they just not care that you were his?
Before the Blade could do anything too rash you picked up your head and locked eyes with him, a beaming smile coming across your features.
"Technoblade!" You called throwing your hand in the air and waving it frantically, "Come here! They're being super kind!" The piglin's all turned their heads to face Technoblade, out of reflex his shifted into his pig form and walked over to you. This time, his brethren cleared a path for him to get through, He pulled you against his chest protectively, he buried his nose in your neck glaring at anyone who dared come close to his wife. Much to Techno's relief they all looked unhappy with the development and walked away from you, to which you pouted at, "You scared them away you big grump."
"Good I don't like them touching what's mine," he spoke calmly which caused you to flush red,
"We were just trading Tech," You spoke shyly motioning to all the valuables you collected. He nodded against your neck about to say something else but he growled deep in his throat instead and tightened his grip on your waist. A baby piglin, with a shining red eye, was holding up a gold ingot towards your person, you cooed fondly. The baby seemed unperturbed by Technoblade's looming appearance and attitude, "Hi baby! Do you want to trade?" The piglin nodded rapidly puffing out their little cheeks, your heart melted in your chest. "Tech let me go," You whined, "I wanna trade with the baby."
"No." He huffed, grumbling in his throat, "Don't want you to." The baby glared at him, stomping his little hoof, holding out the ingot higher. "Get out of here before I punt you, kid," He bared his teeth. The brave kid once more wasn't fazed instead he glared right back at Technoblade making a small snarl of his own. He had his own pair of tusks that were just starting to appear on his bottom lip and you gave a little squeal and Technoblade glared at you, "Don't coo at it!"
"He's so cute though!" You argued, finally squirming out of his hold, you knelt in front of the excited piglin, he handed you the gold ingot excitedly, you examined it carefully. Technoblade huffed at you entertaining the young piglin, you pocketed the gold and handed the piglin a poppy. His single eye widened considerably as he took the flower from your hands, you figured you'd give him something from the overworld. He looked shell shocked as he oinked happily wrapping you in a little hug, "Aw you're so welcome buddy!" You giggled fondly brushing the tufts of fur on his head, you plucked the poppy from his hands and placed it behind his ear. The piglin touched the flower lightly before scurrying down a nearby cobblestone pathway, "Bye little guy!" You called out a sad smile appearing on your face, Technoblade narrowed his eyes. He knew that look, you had the look when you'd look at the other children on the server.
"Don't even think about it."
"Think about what?" You blinked looking up at him, "do you mean- oh Jesus Technoblade I'm not going to kidnap a child."
"Or adopt it! It could be an orphan. We know how I feel about those," He pointed a finger in your direction, you rolled your eyes dramatically.
"Babe we're both orphans-"
"Sorry is that a Ghast? I can't hear you gotta fight it to protect you."
"You piece of shit." You scoffed as Technoblade picked up his bag from his last location and walked off, in the direction of said Ghast. "No fighting Ghasts! You promised!" You chased after him once you came to that realization, "Technoblade!"
Eventually, you caught up with your husband and scolded him for his recklessness, he only snickered at your mother henning. As the both of you stepped back through the portal Technoblade shifted back to his regular form, he took your hand and led you back to your little cabin. Normally Technoblade would use his trident trick to get home, but you were with him and wanted to walk by your side, considering you didn't have a trident...yet. He noticed his mailbox had footprints in front of the box, his brows furrowed, who was in his domain.
"Head inside Princess, I'll join you in a minute." Technoblade kissed your cheek softly, you gave a little nod. As Technoblade walked over to the mailbox and opened it, inside was a deep scarlet letter with a seal on the front. His nose scrunched up in distaste, he grabbed a small knife from his pocket and tore the letter open. The letter inside the envelope was a lighter shade of red, the note was from BadBoyHalo saying he had some business he'd like to discuss with himself and his wife. That immediately didn't sit right with Techno, it set off a ton of red alarms in his head. What did BadBoyHalo need to talk to you about? Technoblade kissed his teeth, he supposed this meeting would be alright so long as he was with you and could protect you and your mind from whatever the demon man was planning. What stirred him out of his thoughts was a slight movement in his bag, his entire body stilled and he slipped his bag off, tossing it into the snow. His bag squealed in distress and he pulled his sword off his body and aimed it at the bag. Technoblade must've been so distracted by you, and the letter in the mailbox, he must've missed the little movements in his bag. He gritted his teeth and snarled deeply, the first thing he noticed was bright pink piglin ears, popping out of his bag, then a bright red poppy. It was the baby piglin who had taken a liking to you earlier, his sword lowered a little bit as his eyes looked up and locked with Technoblades.
It reminded him of how Phil found Technoblade when he was a kid.
His Piglin was a bit rusty, especially his piglin for young kids but he tried his best to communicate with the young boy as he sat upon his knees. He was shivering a little not used to the drastic temperature change.
"What are you doing here kid?" He asked in rough piglin, which to anyone listening would just sound like grunts and squeals. The boy marveled at Techno and that he could speak his language it seemed,
"I want to be with the nice lady."
Technoblade furrowed his brows, a frown etching across his features, "You can't stay here." The kid didn't like that as he glared up at the taller hybrid, "You have a family in the Nether?"
"No." He huffed out with a rapid shake of his head, Technoblade inwardly cursed before picking up the Piglin by the scruff of his neck. He let out a few grunts of protest trying to attack Technoblade's hand as he dragged him into your shared home.
"(Y/n)! Get in here!" He shouted a small clip evident in his voice showing his frustration in his tone. You slid down the ladder in one fell swoop, Steve was by your side growling ferociously at the intruder in Technoblade's hands.
Good to know he could trust Steve to protect you.
"What's wrong? Where's the fire?" You already asked, ready for a fight, Technoblade almost swooned, almost. "Um...bubs is that a child?"
"It's not a child! It's the child!" He held him up higher to show off the poppy in his fur behind his ear, "Look what you did now it's attached to you!"
"Don't be mean!" You scolded your lover taking the kid from his hand, he automatically buried his head in the side of your neck. "Hey, buddy, what's going on huh?"
"He said he didn't have a family. He's attached to you now, therefore making him your problem." He watched you side-eyed him, giving him a very clear dirty look, "He doesn't have a name either." You ran your fingers through the top of the young boy's fur, rolling your lip between your bottom teeth in thought.
"Let's call him Aether." You looked over at Technoblade a teasing smile appearing on your face, "we'll build him a little secret room to keep him safe."
"Aether...Like the god of light and the sky? Isn't that ironic- wait...HEH, what do you mean his own room?" Technoblade blinked rapidly as you slid down the ladder into the basement, "Princess, get back here this conversation is not over!" He chased after you, and with a huff, Steve began to follow the both of you, too curious to just ignore the baby in your arms.
"We can re-purpose Tommy's old room! Fix it up after someone blew it up." You gushed as the piglin squealed in your arms approvingly, "we'll decorate it just how you like it, I'll even paint the walls."
"He's NOT our son (Y/N)-"
"Maybe not our son but he's MY son."
Why did that make Technoblade feel a million times worse? Is this how Phil's wife felt when she was alive when Phil tried to take him in from the Nether.
"I'm not leaving him to fend for himself, especially because he sought us out," You whispered tenderly, "It doesn't sit right with me Tech...please." Technoblade watched you look up at him through big sad eyes, "you don't have to be a parental figure if you don't want to, I won't force that role on you. But I want to take care of Aether, least till he's old enough to officially fend for himself."
Technoblade chose not to correct you that he was already capable of fighting his own battles.
"Fine." He relented with a loud sigh, "just don't get him killed. I don't want to deal with you being upset over a dumb orphan."
"Not dumb." You huffed nudging him in the side, "but thank you." He felt your lips brush the corner of his mouth and he visibly relaxed. "I promise I won't bother you with him either, he'll be my responsibility." You assured Aether grunted in your hold almost like he was in agreement with that plan. Technoblade glared at the child and huffed,
"He better not be," Technoblade said as if to promise himself that he would not get attached to the piglin in your arms that looked so much like your son it filled him with warmth. Steam exited his nose in frustration, and you gave him a gentle pat on the cheek, "I'll talk to Phil about getting him some warmer clothes, but that doesn't mean I like him." The smile on your face was almost worth discussing this child with Phil, but only almost, you gently placed Aether on a spare bed by Bob.
"For now," You ruffled his pink fur "You'll stay down here. If you need anything just call me okay? We'll get you a walkie-talkie you can decorate with some stickers." Technoblade groaned from behind you, he had to gather materials for another radio, for a baby. Aether nodded excitedly and snuggled against the soft covers of the bed, you kissed the top of his eye socket. Steve nuzzled Aether's hand and he gently rubbed the top of the polar bear's head, Steve seemed to dub the Piglin acceptable and rested his face on the edge of his bed. "Good boy Steve, watch out for my boy." You headed back up the ladder Technoblade followed behind you wearily, Phil was going to make fun of him for this, the old man was going to call him soft.
Marriage has made him soft and a shameful part of him liked that feeling of domesticity. He swallowed thickly glancing over at your bright smile, you turned towards him and figured the letter in his pocket could wait a few more days.
"I'm going to send a letter to Phil, so he can grab clothes for the orphan on his way back." Technoblade sighed softly rubbing the bridge of his nose, which caused the smile to slip off of your face.
'Apologize to her right now. It's a kid how hard can it really be? You can handle it, he makes her happy. But it's an orphan and it smells. Yeah, like the Nether and smoke. So does Technoblade.'
He huffed at the voices mentally flipping them off, before lifting his hand and placing it on the top of your head. He watched you look up at him through long lashes and (e/c) eyes, "I guess it's not that big of a deal you nerd. So don't get all frowny at me, okay? We'll keep the kid safe." The smile reappeared and he let out a sigh of relief he didn't realize he was holding in,
"You do care," you cooed fondly and his heart squeezed in his chest. "You're gonna be Aether's dad just you wait."
"Yeah, maybe when pigs fly."
"Tech-"
"Don't say anything," his face turned red, "you know what I meant." You giggled and kissed his cheek, he walked over to the window and sent a crow out for Phil. He jolted feeling your hands on his back running up and down, you slid in front of him.
"Thank you, for all you do for me." Your soft lips traveled across his cheek and onto his lips, "Let me repay you." He felt the tips of your fingers grab at his chin, his eyes dropped closed, tail wrapping around your waist to pull you flush.
"Oh?"
"Hmhm," You purred out as you pressed your foreheads together, you both screamed however when a loud slam sounded against the door. It was thrown open moments after Phil was standing in the doorway, wings ruffled and crows screaming behind him.
"What the FUCK do you mean you have a child! (Y/n) was pregnant?! Since when?! What the fuck!"
"Miscommunication!" Technoblade shouted flush coming across his face, "The crows twisted my words! Last time I rely on them to relay a message!" You burst into hysterical laughter falling against Technoblade's chest,
"This is not funny!" Both Phil and Technoblade said simultaneously, both equally confused and flustered. Phil got here so fast it was ridiculous and judging by the bag on his back he came fully prepared with clothing and all.
"I adopted a piglin from the Nether, he hid in my stuff, you thought I was pregnant?" You were cackling holding your stomach, "Phil what the fuck!"
"What?" He sputtered flabbergasted, "it's not like you both aren't fucking! You smell like him constantly, you can't blame me for jumping to conclusions."
"You saw me yesterday! You have a son!"
"Shut the fuck up! I panicked!" Phil threw the bag at you and you caught it in your arms, still snickering. Meanwhile, Technoblade was still recovering from Phil's scare, "I just...got some of Wilbur's old clothes. Some old toys as well, whatever I could find."
"Thank you, grandpa," You teased to which he turned slightly red, Technoblade glared in your direction.
"He's not grandpa."
"I can be," Phil added raising his finger in the air, Technoblade gaped at him,
"Don't encourage her!" You laughed tossing the bag in Technoblade's general direction, his fast reflexes allowed him to catch the bag. "What are you expecting me to do with this?"
"Go give it to him," He watched you smirk and wanted to wrap his hands around your neck. "You both need to bond,"
"You said earlier I didn't have to!"
"I lied." You bared your teeth in a big smile, chills went down his spine staring at your face, "You have to at least get along with Aether. Plus, Phil and I need to talk."
"We do?"
"We do."
"I'm being lied to." Technoblade growled, "I can't believe this betrayal. Let's all lie to Technoblade, I'm such a victim, having to tend to an orphan my wife adopted." You flipped Technoblade off as he slid down the ladder into the basement. Aether was still asleep on the bed when he came down, the bag across his shoulder felt heavy as nervousness seeped into his skin.
He literally killed people and blew up an entire nation, why was this child making him nervous.
'Throw the bag at it. Have it fend for itself. Don't do that (Y/n) will be upset with you! So, not my problem. It will be our problem if Technoblade gets divorced! DIVORCED?! SHE'D NEVER! E. But she could, do we really want to deal with that. That's a lot of work to clean up.'
The bed shifted, stirring Technoblade out of his racing thoughts, he swallowed thickly before taking a deep breath.
"Hey, kid, wake up." Technoblade gruffly scoffed, tossing the bag on the bed and kissing his teeth. The piglin made a distressed noise jolting up in the bed and pulling the covers over his little body. "Calm down it's just me, Technoblade," He spoke back in Piglin to the child who seemed to ease up a little bit. "(Y/n) and Phil got you some stuff so open the bag and check so I can leave."
Aether eyed him wearily as he opened the soft yellow bag, he began to pull the items out with slight awe. Despite his tough exterior, Technoblade was oddly curious as he walked a bit closer to look inside the bag. Aether pulled out a soft yellow and black striped sweater and rubbed it against his cheeks, it seemed to be amazed at the softness of the material. Technoblade couldn't help but laugh a little, once again he thought of the first time he was introduced to the same material. A pair of overalls was next, they were covered in colorful patches and Aether's eyes lit up excitedly. He watched him scramble back into the bag as a few more things were pulled out, like a coloring book, a few colorful pens, an old busted walkie-talkie, and a small stuffed crow. Phil just had to shove that in there, he couldn't believe that the old man's first thought when he thought (y/n) was having a baby was to find a little stuffed crow, biased little shit.
"Thank you," Aether spoke softly in Piglin towards Technoblade, he blinked a little rapidly.
"Thank your grandpa Phil," Technoblade grunted before coughing, "No not grandpa-"
"Grandpa!" He beamed brightly, his little tail wagging rapidly behind him, Technoblade rubbed his eyes tiredly.
"Just go get changed kid," He grumbled, "So you can show (Y/n)." Aether slid off the bed, sweater, and clothes in hand and stumbled into a nearby bathroom. He came out a few moments later clad in his new outfit, in the meantime, Technoblade sat on the edge of his bed. Aether did a little twirl placing his hands on his hips, Techno held out a weak thumbs up and he seemed satisfied with that answer. Aether flopped back on the bed next to Technoblade and leaned against the pillows, an awkward silence stretched between the both of them. "Anyway...I guess I'll head back upstairs." Technoblade raised his hand and motioned to the ladder, his body tensed and it took all his willpower not to kick the child across the room as his instincts screamed at him to do. He blinked a few times and noticed Aether grabbed at his hands in order to get a closer look at the gold adorning his fingers. Aether began to run his hands over his gold rings,
ah, that made more sense.
"You like my rings?" Technoblade questioned watching him nod eagerly as he wiggled his fingers, "yeah I like 'em too. Got some for my Princess too, that's (Y/n)."
"Princess?"
"Hmhm, she looks beautiful in them," Technoblade hummed softly, an adoring look appearing on his face. Aether looked like he was holding onto every word, "We treat (Y/n) with respect she deserves understand? I see you messing with her. I mess with you back, got that kid?" Aether nodded,
"Same to you."
Technoblade barked out a small laugh and ruffled the fluff on top of Aether's head, "Off to a good start kid." Aether smiled shyly before going back to examining his jewelry, Technoblade shifted to get a little more comfortable as Aether settled in his lap. He continued to examine and twirl Technoblade's rings around until he glanced up and caught sight of his golden crown on top of his head. He desperately reached up for it and Technoblad leaned away from his grubby little hands, "Sorry, the crowns off-limits kids." Aether huffed puffing out his cheeks and Technoblade grumbled reluctantly placing the crown on his head, it was far too big for his little skull as it slipped past his forehead. He made some happy sounds and readjusted the crown, he leaned back against Technoblade relishing in not only the gold but also the attention.
Technoblade huffed out a laugh, maybe having a kid around wouldn't be so bad after all.
He looked back down at Aether and noticed the kid was asleep on his chest, his body locked up completely frozen in terror. Now, what was he going to do? He was trapped underneath a sleeping child, he awkwardly tried to maneuver Aether off himself but the kid had a strong grip on his chest. Technoblade cursed under his breath and figured he might as well get comfortable if he was trapped, he felt warm beneath the piglin and eventually drifted off to light sleep.
Philza and you quietly descended the ladder down into the basement, Technoblade hadn't come back up and the both of you were growing suspicious. You had to cover your mouth to stop an excited squeal from leaving your mouth, both your boys were cuddling on the bed, Technoblade's crown was slipping off Aether's head. You looked excitedly over at Phil whose face was soft and fond,
"Go on, take a picture." Phil glanced over at you motioning to the boys in bed before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a disposable camera.
"Thanks, Phil," You whispered snapping a quick picture of the bed, the click of the camera caused Technoblade's ears to twitch. The photograph came spitting out of the camera and you shook it waiting for it to develop, you were so hanging this picture up where everyone could see it. From across the room Technoblade's eyes cracked open, Phil nudged you forward,
"I'll head out, go spend time with your family." He ruffled the top of your head and flew up the ladder swiftly,
"Hm...was that Phil?" Technoblade grumbled under his breath, voice still deep with the hint of sleep.
"Yeah bubs," You whispered tenderly walking over to the edge of the bed, "he figured it was time to head out." You brushed strands of pink hair out of his eyes and he leaned into your touch, "make some room big guy." With an annoyed grumble, Technoblade moved over so you could lay down beside him and Aether, you gently brushed your thumb across the fur on the baby's cheeks. Just like your big warrior husband he snuggled against your hand. "So, I take it he's grown on you?"
"Shut up and go to sleep." Technoblade grumbled reaching over Aether to rest his big hand on your head, "hm tired." He closed his eyes and ignored your giggles, you pulled the blankets over the three of you and you drifted off into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, underneath L'manburg the egg began to breathe and pulsate with life, it yearned to have the couple once again in the palm of its hand just like it did decades prior. Sir Billiam and Lady (Y/n) were their names if it remembered correctly, they'd follow in the eggs wishes again, that it knew for certain. Meeting them again was going to be fun.

Hello! For the event, can I please get a Philza x male reader who has old scars from self harming? Like, the reader was like "Yea, I had problems with my self esteem". And Phil just comforting him? Thank you!
Food Fights and Comfort
Warnings: swearing, self harm scars, and self harm mentions (nothing graphic)
“You have no idea how hard getting that enchantment was,” Tommy groaned out through a mouthful of half-chewed food. Wilbur reached over to slap him upside the head, “don’t talk with your mouth full. No one wants to see that.”
“Fuck off Wilbur I can do what I want!” Tommy shoved more food into his mouth, chewed it up, and opened his mouth wide facing Wilbur. Your older brother wrinkled his nose in disgust before he shoveled some mashed potatoes onto his spoon and flung it at Tommy where it collided with his shirt. Tommy looked at the brunet with rage before he swallowed his food and scooped up some mashed potatoes and drew his spoon back. Philza’s hand on his arm and his warning glare made him freeze.
“Tommy, if you throw that I swear to god I’m gonna ground you for a month.”
“But- but he started it! I-”
“Let me finish. And Wilbur’s grounded from his guitar for two weeks.”
“C’mon! He-” Wilbur was cut off by Philza’s angry glare, “don’t make me extend it to a month, Wilbur.”
Technoblade leaned over to Tommy when Philza wasn’t looking and whispered in his ear, “if you do it, I’ll do your chores for two weeks.”
“Make it three and you have yourself a deal,” he hissed back at the pink haired teenager.
“...Fine, just do it.”
You silently watched as Tommy genuinely considered it before picking up his mashed potato-armed spoon and flinging the potatoes at the tall brunet next to you. They splattered on his yellow sweater making Wilbur look at him in offense before scooping his food once more and returning fire, his elbow knocking over your mug. The steaming contents of the mug splashed onto you and scalded your arms, soaking through your thick sweater.
A startled yelp left your mouth as you leapt up from your seat frantically trying to brush off the offending liquid unsuccessfully with your hands. The table fell silent as they watched you.
“Shit, I’m so sorry (y/n), I didn’t mean to-”
“It’s fine, Wil, accidents happen. If you all would excuse me, I’m just gonna go clean myself up.”
“Here, let me help you-” Wilbur pushed himself up from his chair only to sit back down when Philza put a hand on his shoulder.
“No, you stay here and clean up this mess. This is exactly why I didn’t want you two to have a food fight, someone always gets hurt.” He walked over to you with a small, reassuring smile, “c’mon.”
You grew increasingly nervous as he led you to the bathroom, your hands pulling your sleeves down repeatedly. He didn’t know about your scars, they were something you struggled with accepting even though it’s been almost a year since you’ve stopped. You were lucky, he had adopted you just at the beginning of fall when you could wear long sleeves as much as you wanted without getting weird looks.
After sitting you on the counter, he turned to rummage in the closet for the first aid kit. From your short time here, you could already tell that the family would go through first aid kits fast. It was a very accident-but-not-really-accident prone family.
He let out a triumphant laugh as he found the box and turned around to look at you, wiggling it in the air, “found it! Now, let’s patch you up, yeah?” When you made no move to push your sleeves up, he furrowed his brows and looked at you a bit closer. He could see the shame and anxiety on your face as clear as day, confusing him to no end. From your short time living with him, you were always an open book, telling him anything whenever he would ask.
“Kid, why’re your sleeves over your hands? I’ve got to see if you have any burns, so if you could push them up I can put some ointment on them.”
You hesitated, the last time you had shown someone your scars was when you were still at the orphanage. You had shown your best friend at the time, and they exploded at you. They told you that you were a freak, that you were an emo for self harming. They ended up spilling everything to the other orphans, and word spread fast at the orphanage; every day was the same there, so they craved new information like it was an addict’s drug.
That began the assault of ‘show us your wrists’ and ‘barcode scanner’ jokes being thrown your way. You became the outcast of the orphanage as fast as you became the loved one. You weren’t sure if the adults knew about it, but if they did, they turned a blind eye to the torment you were going through. It was a miracle that you managed to stay clean during that entire time, you were so close to relapsing. If it hadn’t been for Philza adopting you when he did, you would’ve fallen back into your old ways.
You knew Philza would never do that, as he was one of the kindest people you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. However, you had thought about your ex best friend and reflected on what they did to you. Philza had something they hadn't, however, he had your complete trust.
You prepared yourself for the looks of horror and potentially getting thrown back into the orphanage and hesitantly pushed your sleeves up to your elbows. When Philza saw this, he gave you a reassuring smile and quickly got to work on your slightly burnt forearms.
The entire time, he said nothing about the blatantly obvious scars that littered your wrists. This confused you since there was no way that he didn’t see them. Before you knew it, he tied off the bandages and put his hand on yours gently.
“Those should heal soon, you just gotta keep putting ointment on it and let it breathe for a while each day. If you want to, we can go downstairs and finish our dinner.”
You snapped yourself out of the daze you were in and cleared your dry throat awkwardly, “sure, that… that sounds good.”
“Great,” he gave you another smile before he went to leave the bathroom, “I’ll meet you downstairs, just come down when you’re ready.”
“Wait!” You hadn’t meant to say it so loud that it scared the blond, but the anxiety and paranoia that almost blocked your throat forced the word to be louder than intended. He jumped slightly and looked back at you with a soft, yet questioning gaze.
You pushed your sleeves down and fiddled with the ends of them, “you’re not going to say anything?”
“I’d never force anybody to do anything they’re uncomfortable with, it’s just not the right thing to do. It’s always better to let people open up to you whenever they’re ready to,” he said, walking over to you again and standing in front of you. “The same goes to you, I’m always going to be here to listen whenever you’re ready to talk about it.”
You shrunk in on yourself slightly and nodded, contemplating on whether you should tell him about what pushed you to that point, how you were treated when you had opened up about it for the first time. Eventually, you swallowed past the lump that had formed in your throat, “I’ll take you up on that offer.”
And so you told him everything about your previously declining mental health and how the others treated you during your stay at the orphanage. Though he concealed it well, you could still see his anger when you told him about the jokes made at your expense. He never interrupted you to ask questions, he never gave you any sign of malice, he patiently waited for you to continue whenever you paused, and he always showed you that he was actively listening to you whenever you looked at him.
A part of you expected him to kick you out of his house and take you back to the orphanage, but he offered you nothing but his full support. Talking about it, though it was hard, was far easier to do compared to your previous experience. He was an easy person to talk to, radiating a welcoming and judgemental free aura.
“You’re not going to judge me?” You questioned him when you were done, anxiety gripping at your chest. He put a hand on your shoulder and shook his head, “no, you couldn’t help it; it’s heartless to judge someone based on their struggles… You’re a strong person, (y/n). It takes a lot to get yourself out of that cycle and I’m so proud of you for how much you’ve grown and persevered through what life’s thrown at you.”
“I- thanks Dad,” you wrapped your arms around him and squeezed him lightly. Without a second of hesitation, he quickly reciprocated the hug. He tucked your head underneath his chin and rubbed your back in small circles, “any time, I’m always going to be here for you. I love you so much, son.”

You ventured out of the closet timidly as the smell of fresh food being cooked downstairs hit your nostrils. Your stomach was rumbling loudly, and you grabbed the throw blanket off the end of the guest bed to wrap yourself up in. You were still bare and even though there was slim chance anyone would be looking through the window, you still felt better with it on.
Sitting down at the table, you watched Tony work. He had sent a glance your way when you padded in, the blanket dragging along the ground as you walked.
It was quiet as he worked, and you sat patiently.
When he put the plate in front of you, your mouth practically watered. Grabbing the fork, you thanked him as you were already bringing a forkful up to your mouth. He took his plate and sat next to you. You slowed down, embarrassed about how much food you had already put away before he even had sat down.
“I’ll get you set up on the streaming accounts so you can watch things,” he started to say. “And if you tell me what books you want, I can have them ordered and delivered here.”
“Okay,” you said quietly, in between bites. You were just going to let him talk; you did not want to ask any questions just yet. You were still feeling him out; you had only been around him for a handful of days before you had fallen into your heat. There was still much to know about his personality, what was expected of you.
He saw you were almost finished, and he picked up his pace to finish his plate with you. As soon as the two of you were finished, he picked up the plates. In the process, his hand brushed over yours and your hair stood on end. There was a fleeting smirk from him – he had done it on purpose, testing you. He was scenting you again and seeing how you would react and you just stared at him, still, waiting to see if he was going to do it again. He gestured for you to give him the fork and you had barely noticed you were still holding it. You held it out and his fingers brushed yours again and you bit at your cheeks.
Tony was proving to also be testing the boundaries with you.
Dropping the plates in the sink, he turned back to you, “You need to shower. So do I. Come.”
You got up obediently, holding the blanket still tight around you. You followed him upstairs into the master bathroom and your eyes widened at the large tub. There was a waterfall shower in the corner, complete with what looked like jets for a massage, and a detachable shower head too.
Tony called out as he went to one of the tall cabinets, “FRIDAY, run the jacuzzi.”
The water in the tub began running, startling you. What the hell was FRIDAY? You should not be surprised about the technology in this cabin though, it was Tony’s after all.
Tony came back with body gel, shampoo, and conditioner, a brand you did not recognize. He placed them besides the tub as you asked, “Who’s FRIDAY?”
“The AI system that runs the house,” he answered. “I need to program her to respond to simple commands from you. Lights on, lights off, run the shower, you know, simple.”
His hands were on you as you stood staring at the bath filling up. He pulled the blanket from you, tossing it onto the floor a bit away. With you bare again, his hands fell to your sides, and your breath quickened. His fingers were gentle as they traced over your skin, dipping as your body curved. His bare chest pressed against your back, and you barely held back a soft moan. His scent was clouding you and you were acutely aware you were slipping under its influence. You tried to move away as it became too much but he stopped you firmly.
“Omega, I told you that you need to shower.”
“T-that’s a bath,” you pointed out weakly.
“That it is. Fine, you need to bathe. Is that better, love?”
“But—”
“Quiet, Omega,” Tony cut in impatiently and you felt compelled to follow his order, despite the anxiousness he was igniting with all his touching. He meant to bathe with you. And you were still coming down from your heat. He could stoke the fire again and maybe that is what he wanted to do. Alphas you had heard were notorious for squeezing as much out of an Omega during their heats. “Get into the tub. Leave me room.”
Sinking into the water, you held yourself close as the water turned off, the tub full. Tony pulled his boxers off and followed you in, settling down behind you.
He was gentle, using his hands to rub away at your shoulders and down your chest. You felt calmed with him washing away the remnants of the last few days away from you. Alpha was taking care of you like he should. And you could not deny a good scalp massage was sorely needed, further relaxing you.
Tony pulled you in between his legs and you leaned back against his chest. His fingers trailed down your stomach and to the apex of your sex. Relaxation dissolving in a moment, you clenched tight, and he sensed your tension. He only slipped a single finger in between your folds instead of the two that had been sliding down. You mewled and he kissed softly at your ear. The one finger circling your clit.
“Knees up, precious,” he ordered. You did as he asked, and he added a second finger, delving deeper.
Your pussy was sensitive after the last few days, but his touch set you alight, and you shuddered against his touch. Tony hummed in approval, caressing at your nub. You began rocking your hips, trying to increase the contact. Tony tsked you, nipping at your ear and you let out a disappointed whine. He was working you back up and you were just focused on getting more. You wanted him inside you.
“There are gonna be rules and you just need to follow them. You get to stay here. With me. Safe. Loved.” His free hand came up to touch your stomach. “Hopefully become round sooner rather than later…”
“Alpha…” the thought of that sending you even further down the spiral.
His fingers entered you and he kissed at your cheek, vowing in a whisper, “I’ll keep you safe. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
<><><>
The front porch creaked, and you thumbed the page of your book, calm, thinking it was Tony coming back inside. But then there were a second pair of footsteps and hushed tones. You froze. There was a loud knock on the front door, and you sat up in alarm. Your book dropped to the floor as you got up quickly. Who was here? No one had come here in the weeks you had been here. And Tony had not told you anyone was coming. The hair on your arms was on end at potential danger.
Thankfully, the blinds were drawn on the living room window. You could not go up the stairs though because that was by the front door and the person – whoever they were – would most certainly see you since the door was open, letting the fresh air come through the screen. Tony was outside getting the boat prepped. He was going to take you out on the lake with him while he fished.
Another loud knock came, and you hesitated. The cabin was out in the middle of nowhere. And if someone was knocking… that was a good sign, right? If someone meant harm, they would not take the time to knock.
Tony had told you specifically to not answer the door though.
But… you were curious. You had not seen anyone else for weeks. Your bond tugged at you, jostling deep inside as you turned back towards the door, considering to ignore your Alpha’s direct order. The bond was warning you to be good. But…
<><><>
Outside the cabin, Carol peered in through the window, scanning the front room.
She shrugged, looking back at Natasha. “There’s no one inside that I can see from this window.”
“Well, he’s obviously here if the door is open and his car is here.”
“Maybe they’re upstairs…?” Carol said, hinting at the bedroom activities they were sure Tony would be engaging Y/N in if he had not already.
Natasha exhaled sharply, turning from the door, and going back towards the stairs. She spotted the boat house and also the large shop on the property. He could be in there as well. She sure as hell was not going to be entering his cabin without his permission for fear he had not mated Y/N yet. Or if he had mated her and Y/N was pregnant. Even if she was Beta, he would be threatened by her presence, especially without being invited.
Just as she stepped onto the gravel, she heard Carol behind her say, “Oh, Y/N. Hey.” Natasha stopped on a dime and whirled around on her heel. “Remember me?”
There she was behind the screen door. She looked healthy enough, like she had been eating and drinking enough. But she was timid, not opening the screen door. She still wanted that barrier between her and Carol.
Y/N must have answered Carol, but so quiet Natasha could not hear as she approached because Carol asked, “That’s good. I hope I’m not forgettable. Where’s Tony?”
<><><>
You eyed Natasha as she came back up onto the wrap around porch and looked back at Carol, answering, “In the boathouse. He was getting it ready to take it out for lunch.”
Noticing that both of them had stolen a glance at your exposed shoulder, you shifted uncomfortably. You knew they had been seeing if you had been mated. That was apparent in your tank top; there was no hiding the mark at the base of your neck.
They both acted unperturbed by it though, carrying on with pleasantries.
“Tony fishing. That’s something I wouldn’t expect to be happening,” Natasha chimed in, giving a small smile. “But times have changed.” She looked over her shoulder towards the boat house and she asked you, “Mind if we go out there to talk to him?”
She was… asking you for permission?
You shrugged in response, “Yeah, that’s okay.”
“You wanna come with us?” Carol offered. She was trying really hard to be friendly and gentle, and you appreciated it.
But you shook your head immediately, “I’m not allowed outside without Alpha.” You had already broken one of his rules by answering the door, there was no need to press your luck.
“Even on your own property?” Natasha asked before she could stop herself it seemed.
Carol gave her a vexed look, chastising her with her eyes. Natasha cleared her throat sheepishly before tossing another look to the boathouse. You knew it was silly and what she said was right. You wanted to go outside on your own, lay down in the grass. But Tony did not completely trust you on your own yet; you feared he never would, especially if you were pregnant. That would make him all the more overprotective.
“Well, looks like I won’t have to stretch my legs,” Natasha commented, and you peered between the pair of them trying to follow her gaze. “He’s coming to us.”
You could not see him, but you could sense him, the irritation rattling your bond. He was displeased and you could think of a handful of reasons why. You had hoped they would have gone to find him before he realized they were here but there were a lot of windows on the boathouse that had a clear view of the front porch.
“Tony,” Carol called out in greeting about the time you were able to see him coming up the path.
As he came up the stairs, Tony was staring you down and you sunk back into yourself.
Natasha and Carol could sense the tension and they both took a step back away from the door and subsequently away from you. The movement did not go unnoticed by him, his eyes following their shift.
“Tony, afternoon. We were just checking in to see how it was going. You know we have to,” Natasha told him calmly.
Tony’s stare was piercing you, and you averted your eyes, not wanting to challenge him with direct eye contact. “Well, it’s apparently not going without bumps. Y/N, I told you specifically to not answer the damn door!”
“I’m sorry,” you said timidly, flinching at him swearing at you.
“I don’t care if you’re sorry. You’re supposed to do what you’re told!” He snapped his fingers, pointing back behind you and ordered, “Go make lunch. Now!”
You refrained from mentioning that you had already done that, wanting to be ready whenever he came to fetch you to go out on the water. You left the door and decided you might as well make extra sandwiches for the two women to busy yourself and be hospitable.
<><><>
When Tony turned his attention back to Natasha and Carol after Y/N had retreated back into the cabin from view, he was met with a dispassionate look from Carol but Natasha on the other hand, she looked miffed.
“Can I help you with something?” Tony asked dryly.
“We’re here to check up.”
“And?”
“And… discuss something.”
Tony wagged his finger, “There’s always a catch. Well, lay it on me. And do it quick. Y/N and I are going out on the lake for lunch.”
Carol cut right to the chase, “There’s talk about either taking samples from Omega—” That already was setting Tony on edge, that was clear as day in his expression and tense body. “To try to figure out if there can be a cure given to people who should be able to have children and can’t.”
“Absolutely not,” Tony said immediately. His tone was firm.
“Or,” Carol continued ignoring his outburst. “They want to use Omegas as surrogates.”
A muscle in Tony’s jaw twitched at that, his eyes hard.
“There’s talk of it. High up in the government,” Natasha added. “Thought we would come talk to you about it.”
“For?” Tony spat. His brow pinched a split second before he gave them a belittling laugh. “Wait, did you two think I was going to agree to this? That’s what you wanted to come ‘talk to’ me about? Giving Y/N up to the government?”
“You won’t be giving her up—”
Tony cut in forcibly, “This is not even a conversation. I don’t know what two think you’re playing at.”
Natasha countered quickly, “You always were advocating for protecting Earth.”
“And it is protected. What’s not protected here?”
“Tony.”
“What? We took a stance and we got royally railed. Bent all the way over the table. I almost died in space. Did you forget that?”
“No, I didn’t for—”
“So many people died. Just… disappeared out of existence! Blink of an eye. Well, Thanos got what he wanted and he’s dead now! Earth is going on and there are no more threats from up above. Everyone’s too busy reeling with what happened themselves on their own planets to even care about trying to come here. No, we’re doing fine. I mean, maybe the US government isn’t doing fine which is no new news there. But we are fine”
Carol tried to persuade him now, “We aren’t fine. People are grieving everywhere, and people want to be able to have children again to bring some sense of happiness into their lives and they can’t. So—"
“You’re not taking her,” Tony spat defensively.
“I’m not asking to do that,” Carol said, standing her ground despite Tony’s aggressive stance and the wild look in his eyes.
“Then what is it you’re asking?” Tony asked, his tone dripping with condescension. “Cause that’s sure as hell what it sounds like.”
“I’m asking you to consider the possibility in the future—”
“And I’m telling you, not gonna happen,” Tony declared, cutting her off.
“I thought you were insufferable before,” Natasha scoffed, completely done with how quickly he had become pugnacious at the mere mention of anyone else laying a finger on Y/N.
Tony fixated his death glare on her now and sneered, “I think you’ve overstayed your welcome.”
Carol cleared her throat and said, “Fine, we’ll leave.” She almost turned but implored him once more, “Just keep that on your mind that it’s being spoken about in the government.”
“So, maybe you should do it on your own accord, Tony, before someone forces you to. Because I know how much you love being told what to do,” Natasha quipped coldly as she did begin to walk off. Carol followed her.
“Tell me. Did Cap agree to it?” Tony called out after them, taunting. Natasha and Carol both refused to answer which was answer enough and Tony let out a wry laugh. “That’s what I thought. You two are nuts.”
Natasha slammed the car door so hard, Carol was worried it was going to fall off when she tried to open it to get out. Natasha glared at Tony through the windshield. He was still standing on the porch, pacing slowly, eyes right back on her. He was making sure they were really going to leave.
Shaking her head, Carol turned the car on and said disappointed, “I thought this would be easier.”
“I didn’t. I expected to want to knock his head off his shoulders. Just like Steve. And any other Alpha we are going to talk to about it. It’s going to be futile to convince any of them to let their Omega carry another person’s child.”
“Well, let’s hope we find others that are more open. Because I don’t want this becoming a mandated thing from the government. Things will really get ugly then. I’ve read Handmaid’s Tale,” Carol sighed as she backed out of the driveway.
Tony and Natasha kept eyes on each other until Carol turned the car around and started driving back down the long driveway towards the main road.

NSFW Alphabet: Kazuichi Soda
Pink lemonade boy~
Tumblr media
Stuff under the cut. Character is depicted as 18+
THIS IS 18+ ONLY! MINORS DNI!
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
When he’s giving it, he always makes sure his partner has water, a snack if they request it, and plenty of kisses and praise. When he’s receiving it, he lowkey loves being pampered, it makes him feel appreciated :’)
B = Body part (their favourite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
When it comes to himself, he likes his hands. He’s good at using them, and learning to use them on his partner is one of the things he perfects first.
As for his partner, he’s a butt guy for sure. Perfect for grabbing and spanking! He also very much enjoys boobs, but it’s not a requirement!
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
He cums a basic amount, and likes doing so inside his partner any chance he gets (whether it’s in their mouth or their downstairs area).
He also lowkey likes the taste of his own cum, and often times lick it off himself after he’s jerked off.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Loves smelling his partner’s undies, especially when they’re away for whatever reason. He’ll sometimes even wear them and masturbate in them, too. Dirty boy...
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
He’s super inexperienced. A number of factors went into him not losing his virginity as a teen (his social awkwardness, his anxiety, the fact he wasn’t very popular, ect.). Pretty much all the stuff he knows is from porn, and actually executing that is awkward to say the least-
BUT HOPE IS NOT LOST! Like anything in this world, the more you practice, the better you get! Once he finds an understanding and patient partner, he’ll learn the ins and outs of being a good lover, and he’ll get the hang of it in no time!
F = Favourite position (this goes without saying)
Doggy style. Gives him access to his partner’s butt, and he loves leaning over and leaving bite marks with them sharp chompers of his. He also likes how deep he/his partner can get, and how he/his partner can reach around and pleasure whoever bottoms as well!
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
Some silliness can really help settle his nerves, especially his first few times. For sure he likes it when things are passionate, but having a little bit of goofy sprinkled in, especially afterwards, can really make the whole experience that much better. If he can both satisfy and make his partner giggle, then he’s on cloud nine!
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
His manscaping could be...better, but it’s nothing unbearable. Often times he just forgets to do it (this guy forgets to shower a lot too, pls be patient with him). If he has a date coming up, or his partner asks him to, he’ll trim things up a bit, but he never likes being completely bare.
And no, the carpet doesn’t match the drapes. Its black like his natural hair colour! Though he has thought about dying it too...
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
His attempts at being romantic can sometimes be a bit corny, but the passion is totally there. He’s not the best with words, but he’ll go on and on (and on and on) about how special his partner is when he’s truly found the one.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
This poor guy jacks off A LOT. Being as sexually frustrated as he is, it’s not uncommon for him to crank one out daily. Once he finds a regular sexual partner it goes down, but sometimes he just can’t wait!
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Sexy car washes. Skimpy clothing, getting all wet and bodies being pressed against the hood of a nice car? Oh man, he’ll cream his pants in seconds.
L = Location (favourite places to do the do)
He loves doing it in his workshop, and probably has an old couch there for that very reason (though he’ll say it’s for relaxing/napping to anyone who asks).
Apart from that, you can’t go wrong with the bedroom! Especially if the bed is real comfortable~
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Seeing his partner absolutely desperate for some fuck. Talk dirty to him, whisper in his ear, tease him, and he’s READY TO GO!
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Anything unsanitary (pee, poop, ect.), of course. He also doesn’t really like being tied up, since it causes his anxiety to spike when he isn’t able to move his hands.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
He prefers receiving oral, especially after a hard day’s work. He’ll happily return the favour, but it may take him a bit of practice to get good at it. Good thing he’s an eager learner! Just be careful with those teeth-
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Depends on how he’s feeling. Sometimes when he’s real horny, he gets down to the nitty gritty. However, when he’s feeling a bit vulnerable, or he had a nice, peaceful day with his partner, he will for sure show his appreciation by being sensual and sweet.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
This man lives for quickies. A good stress reliever, and a good way to spend a break from work!
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
He love the idea of getting caught, but not so much actually running the risk of it. He prefers to do things in “private public places”. As in places that would normally be populated, but at certain times of the day are vacant with no actual risk. For example: His workshop after closing.
Actually getting caught makes him want to cry :’)
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
His stamina is kinda low, ngl. He can last a few minutes, maybe around ten at the most. He makes up for it however by the amount of rounds he can go, especially spaced throughout the day.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
Soda loves toys! Vibrators are his favourite, especially using them on his partners. He also has a few sizes of dildos and butt plugs, fleshlights and some nipple clamps too!
He’s thought about making his own toys, but maybe that isn’t the best idea...
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
Soda likes to tease, with that shit eating grin we all love so much. When it comes to his partners teasing him, however, he’s a total baby lol
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
This boy is LOUD. Oh my lord, lots of moaning, groaning, whimpering and begging. And when he bottoms...honey, you got another storm comin’
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
Soda wears a tank top and boxers under his jumpsuit. It gets pretty hot in that thing, so he doesn’t want too many layers.
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
His dick is uncut and pretty average in both length and width. He’s rather self conscious of it, seeing how the media portrays big dicks as the most desirable. Sometimes he even thinks of getting a piercing to “add a little something extra to it”, but is too chicken to actually go through with it. Eventually he learns it’s not the size of the boat that matters, but the motion of the ocean 🌊
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Soda’s unbelievably thirsty, it’s on his mind a lot, to a point it’ll sometimes get in the way of work. So once he gets a sexual partner, the first few months he’s gonna be pretty damn desperate for some fucc. He settles down eventually, but he can still get in the mood pretty easily, and will very rarely turn down an offer.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
Once the sexy times are over, he’s out like a light. With the combination of his job, his anxiety and the strenuous task of love making, it really tires the poor guy out.
🌸🌸🌸
And there you have it! My first post on here WHOO!
Hope you enjoyed! And if you don’t agree with any of these, that’s fine! These are just my personal headcanons!

----
"You go relax in the living room while I call my brother, I'll only be a minute." Bo instructed as they walked into his house. "Okay." (Y/n) smiled as she cradled Von in her arms, having left his stroller on the porch. Bo walked into the kitchen, calling his brother to pick up (Y/n)'s jeep. While (Y/n) walked into the living room, idly scanning the pictures hanging on the walls. (Y/n) sat down on the couch with a content sigh, gently patting Von's butt in an attempt to keep the baby asleep. Von's soft breathing and the gentle patting of (Y/n)'s hand were the only sounds in the room, that is until Bo walked back into the room. "He should be here within the next hour, I'm gonna go change outta this suit real quick." Bo explained pointing behind him to the stairs, already tugging at his tie. "Okay." (Y/n) smiled with a nod of her head, turning her attention back to Von when Bo started walking upstairs.
A short five minutes passed before Bo came back down the stairs, changed from his suit, to a mechanics jumpsuit. "So can I ask? What was with the suit?" (Y/n) wondered aloud, as Bo walked into the living room, taking a seat in a recliner he began slipping on his boots. "I was at a funeral." Bo explained as he tied his laces. "Oh I'm sorry for your loss." (Y/n) gave her condolences. "Thank you." Bo smiled softly. "It's getting pretty late, is there somewhere in town I could stay?" (Y/n) asked as she looked out the window, the sun low in the sky. "You can stay here if you'd like." Bo offered. "Oh you're too kind, but I don't want to be a burden." (Y/n) genuinely hated feeling like a burden on people. "Nonsense I've got plenty of room, and the extra company would be nice." Bo insisted, making (Y/n) smile softly. "Alright... Would it be alright if I got a shower real quick? Sitting out in the suns got me all sweaty and gross." Bo chuckled alongside her, nodding his head. "Of course, I'll show ya to the spare bedroom." Bo rose from his chair, leading (Y/n) upstairs and to the right. "Here ya go, there's a small bathroom attached." He pointed to the bathroom door after escorting (Y/n) inside. "Thank you, I shouldn't be to long." (Y/n) smiled as she sat the diaper bag onto the small bed, gently laying Von down a moment later. "I'll wait for ya down in the living room." Bo hummed as he closed the door, leaving (Y/n) be.
When the warm water hit (Y/n)'s back she sighed in content, the sore muscles of her back relaxing under the heat. Allowing herself a moment to soak up the warmth, (Y/n) closed her eyes and hummed softly under her breath. As if with the flip of a switch however, (Y/n)'s eyes snapped open and she quickly set to work cleaning herself up. However just as she was rising off, Von began crying from the bedroom. In an instant (Y/n) cut off the water and wrapped a towel around her body, droplets of water still rolling down her legs as she exited the bathroom. "See there's mama." Bo cooed at Von, cradling the fussing baby in his arms. "I hope I didn't overstep my boundaries, I was just down the hall when he started crying, and I wanted to make sure he was okay." Bo explained as he stood from the bed, handing Von over to (Y/n). "No no it's alright, I appreciate it actually." (Y/n) shook her head with a small smile. "He's just fussy because he hasn't eaten yet, I didn't want to wake him earlier." (Y/n) sat on the edge of the bed, pulling down part of her towel to allow Von to feed. "Oh I understand completely, I get pretty grumpy when I'm hungry to." Bo joked turning his attention to the floor, not wanting to make (Y/n) uncomfortable by accidentally staring. "Don't we all." (Y/n) chuckled softly.
"I was getting this for the little guy when he started crying." Bo changed the subject, allowing himself a moment to distract himself. "Oh that's so cute!" (Y/n) gushed at the sight of the antic cradle Bo had brought into the room. "I almost forgot about it, it's an old family cradle, been passed down several generations." Bo explained as he laid a clean blanket inside it. "Thank you Bo, you've been so kind to me, I don't think I could thank you enough." (Y/n)'s eyes became a little glossy, a smile spread across her lips. "It's my pleasure, but it ain't nothing to cry over." Bo knelt in front of (Y/n) rubbing away the stray tear that escaped her eye. "Oh I know, it's such a silly thing to cry over. It's just the passed month has been so hard, and you and Lester have been so sweet to me. It's silly I know, but I can't help it." (Y/n) chuckled through her tears, sniffling softly. "You're all on your own aren't ya?" Bo asked with a small frown, the frown deepening when (Y/n) nodded her head. "Where's the father?" Bo asked. "It's kinda a long story." (Y/n) wiped away her tears with a bitter chuckle. "Is he dead, or a deadbeat?" Bo asked bluntly. "A deadbeat of the worst kind." (Y/n) sighed. "That's a shame." Bo shook his head, raising from his kneeled position. "I'll leave ya be." He muttered softly. "I'll be waiting in the living room when you're done up here." Bo added as he exited the room, leaving (Y/n) to finish feeding Von, and allowing her to change in some privacy.
Having changed into the sweats and a tank top, (Y/n) always kept in the diaper bag. (Y/n) carried Von downstairs, smiling at Bo when she entered the living room. "Ready to go back to the garage?" Bo asked as he stood from the couch. "We're as ready as we'll ever be." (Y/n) hummed, following Bo when he went to the front door. "(Y/n)." Bo called out to her as she strapped Von into the stroller. "Yes Bo?" She tilted her head a little, having turned her attention to him. "I'm sorry about asking about Von's father, that wasn't very polite." Bo rubbed the back of his neck, feeling guilty for bringing up such a touchy subject. "It's okay Bo, you were only curious." (Y/n) assured him with a smile. "I don't really mind talking about it, but if someone comes around asking about me, I'd really appreciate it if you forgot about me." She admitted feeling just at ease around Bo as she had around Lester. "He's that bad huh?" Bo wondered aloud with a frown. "Worse." (Y/n) swallowed thickly, dread pooling within her belly. "Well as long as you're here, I won't let anything happen to you." Bo promised, easing (Y/n)'s worry.
"Alrighty lets have a look." Bo mused as they entered the garage, popping the hood to the jeep. "Your brother didn't stick around huh?" (Y/n) stated the obvious as she looked around the garage. "He's not much of a people person, due to a birth defect he's suffering from." Bo explained as he worked. "Oh." (Y/n) felt a bit guilty. "Well he likes people, but people don't really like him much. So he avoids them." Bo shrugged casually. "People always fear what they don't understand." (Y/n) murmured without much thought, unknowingly peaking Bo's interest even more. "He'd like you." Bo mused with a small smile, despite not having the best relationship with his brother, Bo still cared for him. "You think so?" (Y/n) smiled at the thought. "Yeah, what's not to like?" Bo winked at her, chuckling when she ducked her head to hide her blush.
"Hold on..." Bo muttered under his breath, as he checked the oil. "I thought you said you changed the oil last week." Bo frowned in confusion. "I did." (Y/n) mirrored his confusion. "It's bone dry." Bo informed her, moving further under the hood to get a better look at the oil reserve. "I think I see the problem." Bo moved to grab a flashlight, looking to where he suspected the problem was. "What is it?" (Y/n) asked as she walked over to peer at the engine. "It looks like someone put a hole in the bottom of the reserve, the oil just leaked out over time." Bo explained, his assessment making (Y/n) worry again. "Trent my ex... It had to be him." (Y/n)'s voice cracked as the panic set in. "Hey hey hey don't worry about it, as long as you're here you're safe, I won't let him get to you." Bo promised as he wiped his hands with a shop rag, pulling (Y/n) into a comforting hug after he deemed his hands clean. "He tried to kill me Bo, when he found out I was pregnant he attacked me and tried to kill me." (Y/n) wept into his chest. "I won't let him near you." Bo growled protectively, holding her just a little tighter. "I've been running from him for the past month, I just know he's gonna try finding me." (Y/n) shook in Bo's arms, raked with fear. "He won't find you." Bo promised as he pulled her back to look into her eyes, wiping away her tears. "You are safe here." Bo emphasized each word, smiling at her softly when she stopped shaking. "Thank you." (Y/n) sniffled with a smile, leaning up she kissed Bo's cheek, then turned her attention back to Von, smiling down at the sight of him sleeping soundly. "How about we leave this until tomorrow morning?" Bo pointed to the jeep, a dopey grin on his face from the kiss. "Let's go eat some dinner and relax for a bit." He suggested casually. "That sounds like a good idea." (Y/n) nodded her head in agreement, giggling when her stomach grumbled at the mention of food.
"Let me help." (Y/n) insisted as she joined Bo in the kitchen. "I'd appreciate the help." Bo smiled as he gathered everything they'd need to cook a nice hardy meal. "Well it is the least I can do, after all you've done for me and Von." (Y/n) smiled as she set to work, the pair working alongside eachother with natural ease. "(Y/n)." Bo called out softly after a few minutes, smiling when (Y/n) hummed in response. "I just wanted to say... You're a real good mother." Bo admitted, making (Y/n) drop what she was holding. "You really mean that?" She asked with wide eyes. "Of course." Bo nodded his head, being perfectly honest with her. "Thank you, you don't know how much that means to me." (Y/n)'s eyes were bright with pure joy, making Bo's heart melt a little. They continued to work in a comfortable silence, nearly finishing their task before Bo struck up conversation again. "So what do you do for a living?" He asked casually. "I'm an author actually." (Y/n) mused. "Anything I might read?" Bo asked with genuine curiosity. "Only if you enjoy horror stories, I'm looking to be the next H. P. Lovecraft." (Y/n) beamed with pride, her words making Bo chuckle. "I think I'd enjoy reading your work." Bo admitted, making (Y/n) beam even brighter.
--
The following morning (Y/n) and Bo went back to the garage bright and early. "You don't have to sit around down here with me you know." Bo pointed out to (Y/n) who had perched herself upon the gas stations counter. "I know, but I thought you could use the company." (Y/n) mused as she rocked Von's stroller back and forth with her foot, her journal on her lap. "I'll admit the company is nice, but the view is even better." Bo flirted with a wink, making (Y/n) giggle softly. "I have to agree, the view is very nice." (Y/n) quipped right back with a cheeky grin, her words making Bo laugh.
Subconsciously as she wrote (Y/n) began humming a melody, which eventually led to her singing softly. "You are what you are. I don't matter to anyone. But Hollywood legends. Will never grow old. And all of what's hidden. Well, it will never grow cold." Bo stilled in what he was doing, focusing on (Y/n). "But I lost myself when I lost you. But I still got jazz. When I've got those blues. And I lost myself when I lost you. And I still get trashed, darling. When I hear your tunes." (Y/n) relaxed a little, singing a little louder. "But you are who you are. I won't change you for anything. For when you are crazy. I'll let you be bad. I'll never dare change thee. To what you are not." Bo moved to lean against the doorway leading into the gas station, watching (Y/n) with a pleasant grin. "But I lost myself when I lost you. But I still got jazz. When I've got those blues. I lost myself and I lost you too. And I still get trashed, baby. When I hear your tunes." (Y/n) continued writing away, almost in a daze. "I put the radio on. Hold you tight in my mind. Isn't strange that. You're not here with me. But I know the light's on in the television. Trying to transmit, can you hear me. Ground control to Major Tom. Can you hear me all night long. Ground control to Major Tom." Von stirred a little in his sleep, but remained asleep. "Well I lost myself when I lost you. But I still got jazz when I've got the blues. I lost myself and I lost you too. And I still get trashed, honey. When I hear your tunes." (Y/n) smiled to herself as she hummed the melody out. "Are you sure you don't sing professionally?" Bo asked when she finished humming. "I'm sure." (Y/n) chuckled, flattered by his words. "Maybe you should." He winked before turning his attention back to her car, his words making (Y/n)'s heart swoon.
----
Woof Bo is really getting out of character...
Oh well! That's the beauty of fanfiction.
Anyways part two is complete!
Let me know what you think. (^_^)
PS the song (Y/n) was singing is Terrence Loves You by Lana Del Rey.

Fiancee
“Do we have to go?” whined Harry as he scurried around the large kitchen of 12, Grimmauld Place gathering ingredients for dinner and Ginny, his girlfriend, leaned against the large island in the middle. He was talking about shopping for Ron and Hermoine’s wedding. “Yes, baby. We have to go! At least this won’t be as boring as one of your Auror functions at the ministry,” she replied and rolled her eyes. “Honestly Ginny, we shag at most of those ‘Auror functions’ so don’t even go there,” he chuckled, “You have a point!” she laughed and pecked him on the lips.
***
“Bubba, you want to watch ‘The Notebook’ tonight?” Ginny asked him while going through the movies as Harry cleared up the dishes. “But I thought it was my turn to pick a movie!” he said as he crossed across the room and sat beside Ginny. She looked at him with the cutest puppy eyes and he melted right there. “Ughh. You know I can’t say no to that beautiful face. We can watch whatever you want!” he said, getting lost in those beautiful brown eyes. He kissed her, quick and soft, as she put on the movie. They snuggled together, both of their eyes on the TV as Harry mindlessly played with her hair. They talked and kissed and cuddled up, falling asleep not even 45 minutes into the movie. It was like they completed each other. One was incomplete without the other.
***
It was the next morning and as a thin ray of sunlight dappled Ginny’s freckled face, she slowly opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Harry. She gave a slight content smile and kissed him on his forehead. He lightly opened his eyes and his gaze met with hers. Ginny broke apart and got up. “Busy day today! Ron and Hermoine are going to come by in-” she glanced at the clock above the sofa, “shit. 15 minutes! Get up!” she said as she pulled Harry up and literally dragged him to the bathroom. “Gin! Snookums! It’s just Ron and Hermoine! Why are we getting so worked up?” he looked at her, confused. “We are supposed to go shopping for their wedding! With Mum, Dad and the Grangers!” Ginny almost screamed. “Oh shoot-” Harry said as he quickly put some toothpaste on his and Ginny’s toothbrush. They brushed and got into the shower together. Ginny got dressed in a low cut white tank top, shorts and a brown cardigan. Harry wore a black hoodie and jeans. They quickly came out looking fresh and ready. They settled in the kitchen, waiting for Ron and Hermoine. “Gin- you look so hot,” he said as he looked at her slightly wet and thin body, he walked toward her and kissed her, wrapping his arms around her body. It was fierce and full of need. He pinned her against the counter and lightly squeezed her arse. There was a light flash sound as Ron and Hermoine walked out of the floo. They didn’t pull away and Ginny tangled her hand in Harry’s messy black hair, her back facing the newly arrived guests. “Oi!” Ron shouted. Ginny slightly pulled away to take a breath and muttered, “git.” Harry chuckled and got back to his gorgeous girlfriend. After a few seconds, they pulled away, deciding that their guests had enough of a show for that morning. “Bloody rabbits.” Ron cursed. “Good Morning to you too mate!” Harry laughed. “Come on, let’s go. Before these two start snogging again.” Ron said with a deadly look. “Will you not accept the fact that they are together, Ronald?!” Hermoine said, annoyed. Ron rolled his eyes and Harry held Ginny tightly from the side. “We have to get Mum and Dad, Hermoine’s parents will meet us there directly,” Ron said to the others. They nodded and Ron and Hermoine stepped into the chimney. “The Burrow!” they said together.
“Fuck Gin. I’m so turned on right now, I don’t know how I will keep it in my pants,” he muttered into her ear. “I can tell love,” she said trying to hide the lust in her voice as his bulge pressed against the side of her thigh. They stepped into the chimney and appeared in the Burrow a moment later. Harry was still clinging to Ginny from the side and Molly held her arms open to hug them both. Luckily, his bulge was not uncovered by Molly as she took both of them in the hug together. “Harry! Ginny! How are you two doing? It’s like we don’t see you anymore!” she said and pulled away. “Nothing much mum, we just-” she felt his bulge getting bigger and she forgot what she was about to say, overcome with lust. “We- study and… ummm, play quidditch. I help Harry prepare… as an Auror.” she said, trying not to sound unusual because what was the truth was, they ate, binged and shagged. “Okay? That’s good darling! Daddy, will be downstairs in a second.” Molly said as she got back to Hermione and Ron. “gin-” Harry threw a look at Ginny and she nodded, reassuring him that she needed him too. Soon enough, Harry and Ginny greeted George, Angelina and Percy as Arthur appeared on the staircase. He greeted everyone and they all flooed to a store in Muggle London to buy bridesmaids and groomsmens dresses and suits. They met Luna, The Grangers, Dean, Seamus and Neville at the store.
“The theme of the wedding is blue, along with white so couples will wear the same shade of blue! Bridesmaids will wear long dresses. Let each couple try on their clothes one by one.” instructed Hermione. George and Angelina went first and with just a few different outfits, settled on something to wear. Then Dean and Seamus, picked the very first suit that they both tried on. “Harry! Ginny! Go on.” Hermione signalled toward the trial room. Harry’s bulge was still large enough to be noticed, but he had no way out. He got up, trying not to show his front to the crowd. They walked into the trial room and the sales assistant handed them both robes to try on. They made their way into the changing room which was large enough to fit 5 people. It had chairs and hangers and enough light. “Finally,” Harry gasped as he caught Ginny’s lips into a hot and urgent kiss. She lifted her legs and tied them around his waist. He started by taking her cardigan off. Her hand entangled in his hair and squeezed her arse. She moaned loudly and pulled away with a grunt, “What if someone hears?” she said. He took out his wand from his back pocket and cast a silencing charm on them. He didn’t care as his wand met with the ground with a clatter. She pulled off his shirt and he did the same. He looked at her beautiful breast covered with a thin white bra which was almost sheer. This time he didn’t connect her lips to his again, instead kissing her neck. “Oh… Harry! I need you…” she moaned and Harry realised they didn’t have much time. He pinned her hard against the wall and put his hand inside her knickers, slowly inserting a finger. “Ahhh… yesss,” she moaned even louder. “Gin-” he grunted as he pulled her pants down along with her knickers, she indeed his belt and quickly unbuttoned his jeans. He took off his boxers and thrust into her slowly but hard. “Oh! Move Harry, move,” she moaned and he started a steady pace. It was hard not to come immediately. God, this woman would be the end of him. “Harder! Oh…. yesss! Faster Harry!” she screamed. He went at an unbelievably fast pace. Thrust after thrust it made him closer to his high. He fondled her breast and pounded into her. Once, twice, thrice. “Harry! Harry! Harry!” “Gin! Gin!” The room was filled with moans of either name. “Harry! I’m cum- Ah!” he swivelled his hips and thrust into her at an angle that had her spilling immediately. Her orgasm triggered his. He thrust into her as deep as he could and released his seed. “Gin-” he grunted as he felt himself come back down. “Wow- that was,” Ginny smiled. “I love you baby,” Harry pecked her and pulled out. “Mmmmm… I love you too,” she replied. They stripped from the rest of their robes too and Ginny put on the gown. It was a low cut navy blue gown with thin straps. It had a long, a-line skirt with a high slit on the side. It had a pearl detailing at the waist. It hugged her body perfectly. Harry couldn’t take his eyes off. He also looked handsome white trousers, with a white blazer, navy blue shirt and white bow. Ginny grinned at him menacingly and bent down to take off her white lace panties. She cupped her underwear and slid it into Harry’s hand. “Just something to think about.” she grinned and they stepped out of the changing room with a whine from Harry. “Took you too long enough.” Hermione said at once as she looked at the two of them. They had mussed hair and swollen lips, but they both looked entirely too pleased. Hermione knew what they had been upto, but she didn’t mention it. “This is what we are wearing! We both love it!” Ginny said, her voice now happy and uplifting. “These minxes,” Ron muttered under his breath, rewarding him with a hard nudge from hermione. The way everyone looked at Harry and Ginny, kinda proved that they knew too… The awkward stares didn’t end until they went back and changed into their original clothes and sat back down.

Would you ever do a part 2 to Six Bodies In An Alley.
I'm gonna be honest, I never really had any intention of carrying on with this, but I went back and read it again and came up with this, so enjoy!😊💛
Six Bodies In An Alley. (Part Two)
The Lost Boys x reader
Warnings: death, blood, being held captive

"What should we do with her?" Dwayne's question sends yet another bolt of dread through me as he speaks, fear coursing through me like great torrents of ice.
The four...creatures…stand before the sofa, looking down on me as if it's my own fault I'm here. At one time, I might've made a joke about the way they're standing, but now I doubt I'll ever be able to poke fun at them ever again, not after what I've seen, after what they've done. Tears threaten to spill out over my cheeks as I recall the gruesome images of the past hour, grief tearing at my heart at the memory of what happened to my brother. Cold sorrow washes over me and I have to fight back a sob, making a strangled sound that catches their attention. Under their gazes, I cower and feel yet more terror flood my system, as well as a hot flare of disgust: they haven't even cleaned the gore off of themselves.
"Just let me go, please! Please! I won't tell anyone, I swear, just let me go! Don't hurt me, please!" I plead with them, my voice laced with the debilitating fear in my veins.
"No, we can't risk that." David shakes his head, cold blue eyes fixed on me, "You're staying with us either way."
"No, please...I'll do anything! Just let me go!" I beg him, my heart racing as I try to reason with him.
"No, you're staying here." He snaps back firmly, his sharp tone drawing a whimper of fear from me.
Cold fear floods me as I think over what he is saying: I'm basically a prisoner. What're they going to do with me?
I shudder as the answer comes to mind.
"Aw, come on, Doll, it ain't so bad." Paul grins lopsidedly at me, the expression not quite carrying the same warmth I used to love seeing on him.
I look away, my hands clutching at each other in my lap, fingernails digging into my skin enough to break the skin.
"Ok, but how are we gonna keep her here? She'll just escape as soon as the sun comes up." Marko says, gesturing to my trembling form.
The four stare down at me again, seemingly considering the question until Dwayne speaks again.
"Lets just tie her up to something. That should work well enough."
His words send another bolt of ice through me, but there's something in what Marko said that strikes a chord within me - why did he bring up the sun?
Instantly, it hits me, weak hope sparking to life within me at the knowledge. The boys are quite clearly vampires, and so they must have an aversion to the sun, just like the ones in the old books do. A plan starts to form in my head, and I start hoping they can't mind read as well, knowing it will give me away as Marko approaches me with a rope, a smirk on his face. I let him manhandle me into position, watching as he ties my wrist a nearby fallen beam, securing it tightly so I have very little room to move, but not so that my circulation is restricted.
As he finishes the blonde vampire steps back and David comes forward, a stern look on his face.
"You better still be here when we wake up." He growls threateningly at me, before he and the others turn and leave through a nearby tunnel.
*
An angry ring has appeared around my wrist as I rub at it, wincing from the burning sting of the rope I only just managed to force off of my arm, the area flushed and irritated. It had taken me far too long to work the ties off of me, but I had to be careful not to break the skin or draw blood, in case I woke up the boys. Now, I'm regretting not finding another way of freeing myself as my hand burbs, but I do my best to ignore it, shakily climbing up and out onto the top of the Bluff, glad to feel the strong rays of the sun on my face. I never thought it would be as reassuring as it is now, but the relentless light makes me feel somewhat safer.
Sighing, I look around for a way to get to civilization, chewing my lip as I do so, not coming up with any ideas. That is, until I see the boys' bikes pushed behind a nearby tree. Immediately, I feel a shot of hope go through me, and I rush over to them, picking one out. I can't remember whose it is, but I have to fight back a cry of relief when the engine instantly starts up again, the bike ready to take me back into town.
Kicking it into action, I try to remember how I've been taught this, shakily riding off along the line of the cliff, back to the tree line the boys so often come out of when they're racing along the beach. I instantly regret this as I find myself trying to navigate the tight spaces and convoluted area, practically having to hold back a cheer of relief when the trees break off to reveal the beach, which I quickly speed onto. Sand flies up around me as I thunder along the expanse of land, the motorcycle's tyres struggling to grip as it travels over the loose material. Gritting my teeth, I ride the vehicle right up to the Boardwalk, ignoring the shouts of protest from beach-goers.
Upon reaching the Boardwalk, I gun the engine once more, going along the sidewalk at high-speed, nearly hitting a couple of holiday makers as I do so. Heart pumping, I take the bike directly to my home, breaking about eight different traffic laws as I go, uncaring of the consequences this will bring once I'm out of this mess. As I get to my house, I park the motorbike out the front and race inside, slamming the door behind me.
My mind goes into survival-mode, and I run upstairs, pulling a rucksack from my wardrobe, which I start to stuff with clothes and essential items, throwing in personal items, too. I check the time as I go, panic flaring up in me as I notice that there's only a few hours left before sundown, meaning I don't have much time left to get as far away from here as possible. Taking as much stuff as I need, I swiftly go back downstairs, looking around the place one last time before I duck back outside, going to the bike.
It's only now that I realise I took David's motorbike, a fact I barely register as I climb back onto it, starting up the engine again.
This time, I stick to the laws of the road, not wanting to be pulled over by any traffic police, cursing to myself as I get caught in traffic, my time slowly starting to ebb away. It takes a long while, but eventually I manage to get here so need to be: the Santa Carla Bus and Train Station.
I leave the bike at the front of the large building, uncaring of what happens to it now that I no longer need it, more worried about simply getting away now that the opportunity to do so is so close. People shout in protest as I push past them, but I just go right to the ticket desk, buying passage out of this town. The ticket terminates in Canada, a fact that reassures me, as it means I can get as far away as I like without needing to stop anywhere else.
A couple of hours later, and I'm watching the last rays of sunlight disappear over the horizon, my paranoia creeping up on me again as I watch this happen. The bus never got out as quickly as I wanted it to, and now we're only just leaving Santa Carla, meaning there is ample time for my four captors to catch up to me.
Thankfully, nothing comes for a good hour or so, the bus chuntering away down the highway, the passengers (all five of them) keeping blissfully quiet, none of them aware of the panic I'm in. I can feel myself finally starting to relax again, just as the bus suddenly stops.
Looking out of the window, I notice now that there aren't any other cars on the road outside, and that it's completely dark, making it impossible to see anything. The other passengers start to murmur to themselves, glancing around in as much confusion as I feel, only to cry out in surprise when the lights cut out.
It feels as if I've blacked out, everything going horribly quiet until I hear the first scream of agony. It's the driver, his voice wailing in a blood-curdling manner until it's drowned out by another person's, the cry a definite female sound. Terror explodes inside me, and I immediately know what's happening, though I can't move, the fear freezing me in place as shrieks of pain, followed by sickeningly wet sounds fill the air, my breathing coming hard and fast as I try not to make much of a sound.
The lights eventually come back on, and I have to fight not to throw up into my lap at the grim sight around me. Four figures stand amongst the gore, faces twisted into snarling sneers.
"I thought we told you to stay put?' David growls at me.

Chapter 3
“You ready to go?”
You turned to see Taehyung leaning in your doorway. He was wearing flared jeans and a green paisley silk button-down shirt. The open butterfly collar revealed a vintage Chanel gold medallion, and he’d added light green sunglasses to complete his retro look.
Taehyung had picked out your outfit – a short, cream colored wrap dress with an abstract floral design and long flared sleeves. Knee high rust red boots and pin straight hair completed the look, and for once you felt like a match to his fashionable appearance.
You held up a finger as you opened your jewelry box, looking for the vintage garnet drop earrings you’d found to complement the outfit. You slid them in, moving your hair back to admire how they dangled and caught the light.
“Okay, I’m ready,” you said, turning to find him behind you.
“Almost,” he said, pulling a small box out of his pocket.
“Tae,” you said reprovingly as he opened the box and took out a ring. The antique gold setting was beautiful – an oval opal surrounded by a halo of garnets – and it looked perfect when he slid it onto your right ring finger.
“Now you’re ready,” he said, looking pleased as he stood back to check your appearance.
You raised a brow. “When did you even have time to shop for this?” Taehyung’s little surprise gifts were something to which you’d become accustomed over the last few years, and your attempts to discourage him were usually ignored.
He shrugged and as always, his sheepish grin disarmed you. You reached up and adjusted his collar.
“You look like you’re ready for a Vogue shoot,” you said, smiling back. “The poor girls at this party won’t know what hit them.”
“That’s why I have you to protect me,” he replied.
It was Friday, the final weekend before classes started, and the welcoming activities had ramped up in the last week. You and Taehyung had attended some of them and declined others, but you’d committed to the biggest events of the weekend – tonight’s Musical Eras mixer and tomorrow’s Movie Night on the Quad.
The mixer was being held at the Kappa fraternity house, something that had almost made you reconsider attending because you were certain to run into Jungkook again as you had for the last week. While your anger had cooled, you still felt that knot of anxiety in your stomach whenever you saw him, wondering if he’d still be angry or if he’d just pretend you didn’t exist.
So far, his attitude fell somewhere in the middle – when he saw you and Taehyung together at the supermarket, he tried to hide his reaction, but the little muscle ticking away in his jaw was a dead giveaway. A couple of days later, you saw him in the park while you were walking Yeontan and for once, he didn’t look big mad at the sight of you. You were alone and had considered trying to talk to him, but he was with friends. Not wanting to invite public rejection, you waved at the group and hurried away, noticing the little wrinkle between his brows as he watched you go.
Jin, Jimin and Jimin’s girlfriend, Ayeong, had all been by the house a couple of times. Sera had also visited with her mother, accepting Taehyung’s offer of a house tour since Sera’s mother was interested in how the historical home had been renovated. Jungkook was noticeably absent, though Jin seemed certain that he’d eventually come around.
You weren’t so certain of that. In all the years you’d been friends with Jungkook, you’d never seen him so deeply upset with another person. If someone upset him, he might avoid that person for a while, but he always got over it, and you’d never seen him blow up at anyone the way he had with you.
You always thought you knew him better than anyone, and he you, but now you had to acknowledge the reality of this situation – three years had passed, and the truth was, you didn’t know this Jungkook. Worse, he didn’t know you either and you had no one to blame for that but yourself.
________________
Stepping into the Kappa house was like stepping back in time. The large house had several rooms downstairs, each of which reflected a different decade of music, and everyone had taken their costumes just as seriously. You laughed when Jimin and Ayeong met you out front dressed as Sonny and Cher.
“Very nice,” you said, gesturing to Ayeong’s dress.
“Thanks, I love yours too.”
Thought it was still early, the party was already a crush of people circulating between the rooms. Younger guys, probably freshmen, circulated with drinks on trays which they offered to guests.
“Pledges?” Taehyung asked Jimin as he took a beer.
Jimin nodded. “They have to put in an hour according to a schedule and then they’re free to party. That’s as close to hazing as we get here.”
When Jimin offered you a glass of wine, you shook your head. “I don’t really drink much when I’m…” you paused, unsure how to finish the sentence without being weird. “When I’m out.”
You could see that Jimin understood what you meant. “Got it. We have a dry bar too if you want to call it that.”
Ayeong linked arms with you. “I’ll show her. I’m not really in the mood to drink either.”
The dry bar turned out to be pretty impressive, with lots of juice, sparkling water, club soda, and even fruits you could add. You settled for club soda with a splash of raspberry juice and slices of lemon, while Ayeong created a tropical drink.
“I know Jungkook is being… well, difficult. But I just want you to know that Jimin is so happy you’re back,” Ayeong said. “He said you were all friends since kindergarten.”
“Jimin was always one of the sweetest people at our school,” you replied. “It was really easy to be his friend.”
“Not much has changed then,” Ayeong laughed. “What about Jungkook? Jimin says he wasn’t always such a fuckboy.”
You choked on a sip of your drink. “Jungkook is a fuckboy?”
“Well, a nice one? I think he only hooks up with girls who want the same kind of no-strings fun, so there’s never any drama related to it. He’s not the type to get serious though, which is why I’ve told Erin she needs to move on from her crush.”
Fuckboy Jungkook wasn’t something you could really imagine, nor did you want to. You chose not to think too closely about why it bothered you so much.
But once you spotted him across the room talking to a group of girls, you couldn’t shake that image from your mind. He looked good. Really, really good. He was dressed in tight red pants, a black silk button down, and he’d completed his Michael Jackson Thriller homage with a red leather jacket trimmed in black. When he laughed at something one of the girls said, his dimples appeared.
“I’m surprised Jungkook is wearing a costume – he almost never does,” Ayeong commented.
“He kind of stopped wearing them by the time we were in high school,” you said. “But this kind of party, plus a Thriller homage, is pretty on brand for him.”
“Oh, that’s who he’s supposed to be! I’m really bad at guessing all of these costumes.”
You and Taehyung stuck with Jimin and Ayeong, who introduced you to people you hadn’t met yet. Everyone was welcoming, but two hours in you were starting to feel a little overwhelmed by the crowds and the noise. There was also the fact that ever since Jungkook became aware of your presence, you’d felt his eyes on you. You’d hoped his neutral response to you at the park was progress, but you could feel his judgmental stare like a brand.
Every time you glanced over at him, his impassive expression was contradicted by some blazing emotion in his eyes. You reminded yourself that you’d known this would probably be a struggle – that Jungkook would likely be angry with you for leaving. Emmie had even said that no one mentioned your name to him anymore.
You’d just underestimated how much it would hurt.
___________________
Jungkook almost skipped Movie Night on the Quad because he was in a foul mood after the Musical Eras mixer. Seeing you there with Taehyung in your matching costumes had made him inexplicably angry, something Jin called him out on.
“Shouldn’t we be glad that she has good people in her life?” Jin asked him when he stomped around the kitchen the next day, slamming cabinets as he fixed a late breakfast.
“He’s right,” Jimin said. “Plus you know that she and Taehyung aren’t together, right?”
That made him pause. “They look like they’re together.” Fucking matching costumes and all, he thought viciously.
“They dated, but Ayeong said y/n told her it’s been a while since they were together like that. At least six months or so.”
“Who the hell follows their ex-girlfriend to another country? And buys a house?”
“If you took the time to get to know Taehyung, you’d understand that he feels like y/n saved his life. He’s committed to helping her with the ghost hunting because of that, but he also genuinely cares about her. So do Namjoon and Chloe,” Jin said. “They’re all good people.”
“Whatever,” Jungkook muttered, shoving cereal into his mouth.
“Forget it, Jin. He won’t admit the real problem, and we all know his anger default setting when it comes to y/n is because of that.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Jungkook demanded.
“You’re jealous. You’ve always been jealous of anyone that got close to y/n,” Jimin replied calmly. He crossed his arms and sat back in his chair.
Jungkook grit his teeth. “I’m not jealous.”
“Really? So every time a guy expressed interest in dating her back in high school, and you very pointedly warned them all off, that was you just being what? A good friend?” Jimin rolled his eyes.
“Who? Like Lucas? You’re damn right I warned him off. He didn’t deserve her.”
“What about me?” Jimin asked, a challenge in his tone. “I told you that I liked her our sophomore year, and you shot down that idea so fast I was afraid if I pursued it, it would actually ruin our friendship.”
Jungkook stared at him, shifting uncomfortably. “Because you weren’t serious about it.”
“Says who? I was dead serious, Jungkook, and you know it. For that matter, I think even Lucas was serious about liking her. He never said a word about her that wasn’t totally respectful.”
“Yeah, because he knew I would beat his ass,” Jungkook said.
“You’re right – everybody knew that. Why do you think people steered clear of her? Why do you think Grace hated her so much? I told you that Grace wasn’t as nice as you thought she was. Yet you still held tight to y/n with one hand while you chased after Grace. And I figured it was just a matter of time until you realized how you really felt about y/n, so I let it go. But damn, Jungkook, you need to stop taking out your anger on y/n. Let her explain why she left.”
No one spoke for a moment. Then Jungkook asked, “Has she told you why?”
“I asked her,” Jin said. “But I think she’s waiting to talk to you first.”
Jungkook tried not to think about what Jimin said, but now that he was here on the quad, and you were just a few feet away, it was all he could think about. Jealousy.
He couldn’t deny he hated seeing how close you were to Taehyung. The way the other man touched you, or kept a protective arm around you, pissed him off. The way you smiled at him made him even angrier. Still, beneath the anger was something else – a yearning for the way things had been. No one had ever understood him the way you did, and he missed that connection with you.
It was his fault you left. That little voice in the back of his head kept reminding him that you weren’t the only one to blame for this vast distance between you now. He kind of understood why you’d left, but he didn’t know why it had taken you so long to return.
He kept stealing glances at you rather than watching the movie playing on the large screen set up on the quad. You’d been to the concession stand, and he wasn’t surprised to see you eating gummy bears since that had always been your favorite movie snack.
You looked pretty. Your hair was a little longer now than it had been in high school and fell in gentle waves around your shoulders. You wore another floaty little summer dress, the kind you had always liked, small feet encased in comfortable flat sandals. You and Taehyung had joined Jimin, Ayeong, Erin and Jin on a large blanket towards the front of the crowd.
Stubbornly, Jungkook had opted to sit with some of his friends from the baseball team. He was still close enough to watch you – to hear your voice – to just observe you while his mind sorted through his confusing thoughts and emotions. You had glanced over at him a few times, as if feeling his eyes on you, a silent question in your own. And somehow, he knew that you understood that he needed some time.
At the intermission between films, you went with Ayeong and Erin to the bathroom. Jungkook got tacos from a nearby food truck and when he returned, he noticed that you were the only one missing from the group. A few minutes later, Taehyung was frowning at his phone after making a call that had gone unanswered.
“I’m going to go check on her,” he heard the other man say as he stood up.
Jungkook hesitated for a few seconds before following him. Taehyung had his phone to his ear again, though again there seemed to be no answer.
“What’s wrong?” Jungkook asked as he caught up to him.
Taehyung turned and scowled at him. Then he sighed. “Ayeong said she stayed back because she got a call from her mom that she needed to answer. Maybe it’s nothing, but she’s been gone for almost twenty minutes, so I just want to make sure nothing happened.”
Jungkook nodded and then they were silent as they walked around the buildings that were still open. The campus was well lit, so it was easy to see the faces of people walking to the dorms or back to the quad. When they didn’t see you anywhere, Taehyung made another call.
“Chloe, I need you to ping y/n’s location and send it to my phone.” He listened for a minute. “Maybe nothing but I can’t find her and I don’t know – I’m getting a weird feeling. Okay, thanks.”
Taehyung’s unease was contagious, and Jungkook shifted from one foot to the other as they waited. Then Taehyung’s phone vibrated, and he studied his screen for a moment before gesturing for Jungkook to follow him. After walking for a few minutes, Jungkook realized they were heading towards a park where students often had lunch or relaxed between classes.
And there you were, a silent, ghostly figure swaying in the moonlight as you hummed a strange tune.
“Fuck.” Taehyung started running.
Jungkook was right behind him. When he reached you, he tried to take your arm to turn you towards them, but Taehyung stopped him.
“Don’t touch her,” he said, a note of warning in his tone. “She’s in a sort of fugue state, and it’s safer if she comes out of it herself.”
Rather than argue, Jungkook walked around to face you, but froze when he saw that your eyes were unfocused, and almost… glowing? It was clear that you didn’t see him, though he was standing right in front of you.
Jungkook’s heart was pounding now. “How do we make her do that?”
“There’s something else here,” Taehyung explained. “It probably tried to communicate with her. Sometimes, if she lets her guard down, or if the spirit is especially powerful, she gets sort of… pulled to the other side. It’s usually because they’re trying to show her something.”
Swallowing hard, Jungkook nodded. “Okay. How do we make her come out of it?”
“We can’t make her, and if we try, it can cause severe shock. She’ll already be in a state of shock when she comes to on her own, so we have to be careful. I’m going to go get the car. You wait here with her and just keep talking to her, okay?”
“Can I touch her hands?”
“Carefully,” Taehyung said. “Don’t pull her or shake her, and don’t try to make her move.”
“Okay.” Jungkook pulled his phone out of his pocket. “Jin, I need you to come to the park right now. The one behind the science building.”
You were still humming and swaying when Jungkook reached out to touch your hand. There was no response, so he carefully took both your hands in his.
“Jesus, your hands are freezing,” he said quietly. “You never dress right for being out at night. You know that you get cold even when it’s not that cold, right?”
He squeezed your hands carefully in an attempt to warm them up. There was no response from you, your eyes still fixed on something he couldn’t see.
A/N: I know it's been a long time since I posted, and I'm sorry about that. If you're still reading, I'll get the rest of the chapter up this week, and there is some fluff in the future as Jungkook and y/n start repairing their relationship. I hope I remembered all the people who asked to be tagged (and got the tags right.) If you’d like to be tagged for updates, let me know.

Birthday Buddies - Colby Brock
You and Sam share the same birthday and Colby conjures up a plan for the party to be perfect for the both of you.
Requested by @sam-xplr-colby 💙
Warnings: some curse words
Word Count: 1.8k+
--------------------------------------------------
November 27th, the big day. It was your birthday, and it was Sam’s too. Colby’s two favorite people were born on the same day and he made sure to make it special for both of you each year. He would throw the best party that had both of your interests tied together for the theme and they were always the best. Right now, he and the gang were decorating the trap house for the event of the double birthday and you and Sam were wandering aimlessly around the mall.
“What do you think he’s doing this year?” you asked the blond before taking a sip of the coffee you had gotten earlier.
“With Colby, there is no telling what he’s got planned,” he snickered down at you. He watched as your mouth dropped open in surprise and you let out an excited shriek. Sam’s eyebrows drew together before he followed your line of sight to see what had gotten you so excited only to see it was the Disney store.
“Look at the little baby Yoda plushie, Sam!” you squealed as you grabbed his hand to drag him towards the shop. He about tripped over his own two feet, but thankfully he made it there safely. “It’s adorable!”
“He is a cute little fella,” Sam agreed as you two awed at the tiny green Jedi master through the display window. “Wanna go inside? We have a lot of time to waste.”
“Sure,” you nodded your head at the blond and followed him into the store. After a few hours of walking around the mall slipping in and out of shops, you two went to the krac house to get ready.
“It’s cute how you guys do this every year,” Cassie muttered softly as she remained focused on blending together the colors of your eyeshadow.
“Do what?” you inquired. You had slipped into the routine, barely even noticing that it was a common reoccurrence.
“How Colby and Kat decorate the house and throw a party to some theme that Colby has been planning for months and while they do that, you and Sam get to hang out all day and celebrate each other’s birthdays. You can’t tell me that isn’t adorable,” she lightly giggled as a small smile tugged at your lips. It was kind of a cute idea. The love of your life and best friend throw a whole party for you and your other best friend while you two get to have fun.
“Yeah, and it’s nice to hang out with just Sam. I almost never get to because Colby is normally there or Jake or Corey too. He’s a pretty cool guy when it’s just him,” you told her while she dusted off the setting powder that rested below your eyes.
“Yeah, the only person who really gets a good bit of alone time with Sam is…” she started.
“Colby,” you two chorused before giggles flew from your mouths.
“Okay, you’re all done, birthday girl,” Cassie announced before letting you look at yourself in the mirror.
“Damn, Cassie! This looks good,” you complimented as you stared in awe at your own reflection.
“That’s all you, y/n,” she grinned at you through the mirror while she spoke.
“Stop, you are the sweetest. I love you, Cass. Thanks,” you told her before pulling her into your embrace. Her laugh sounded in your ear as she hugged you back, but she soon pulled away.
“Now, let’s get you dressed,” she stated excitedly which caused you to groan. You loved getting your makeup done. It was super therapeutic for you but realizing that you were going to be dressed up all night was not something you were looking forward to. “Stop whining. Colby will love it.”
And love it he did.
“Y/n, baby, you look amazing!” Colby told you as he took your hand in his and spun you around before pulling you close. “Happy birthday, love,” he muttered before pressing his lips to yours. Your moment with him was cut short by the clearing of someone’s throat nearby.
“As cute as this is, can we go in? I really wanna see what it looks like in there,” Sam stated, his words followed by a grin. You pulled away from Colby a bit and let your hand slide down his arm and into his hand, your fingers intertwining with his.
“I wanna see inside too,” you giggled as you looked at the front door of the house you knew all too well.
“Right this way,” Colby joked as he ushered you and Sam towards the door.
“Are you ready, birthday girl?” Sam asked as he stuck his arm out for you to grab. You giggled before linking your arm with his.
“Yep, birthday boy.” Sam turned the knob and pushed the door open to reveal where all your friends stood, cheering and recording the moment to save.
“Happy birthday guys!” they shouted in unison as white, green, blue, and orange balloons and confetti were thrown in the air above you and Sam. You turned into the blond to help shield yourself from the falling pieces of paper and glitter as you both laughed to each other.
Once it had all fallen on top of you two, you both pulled away from each other to look around. You noticed the balloons that were on the ground. The white ones had storm troopers on them, the green had Yoda, the blue was R2-D2, and the orange ones had BB-8 printed on the latex.
“It’s Star Wars themed,” Sam grinned at you. You nodded your head eagerly before turning to Colby who stood behind you both with a sheepish grin on his face. Your feet moved quickly to him and you wrapped your arms around him.
“It’s perfect, babe. I love it,” you muttered in his ear before pulling away to press your lips to his. After the kiss, you backed away so Sam could talk to him and as they spoke, you ran to Katrina.
“You did so good at decorating because I know Colby couldn’t do all this, so thank you Kat!” you said as you pulled away from her embrace.
“Yeah, he can’t decorate, but the idea was all his and it was honestly his best idea ever. You both are Star Wars nerds,” she teased to which you playfully shoved her away.
“Wait until you see the cake. Sam, come here!” Kat squealed before Sam and Colby turned their heads towards her and followed you two to the kitchen.
“Oh, I love it!” you awed at the decorated dessert. The bottom two layers were BB-8, and it had a baby Yoda on top. “It’s adorable!”
“Looks sick guys,” Sam added from behind you and Kat.
“You did amazing, Colby, with everything,” you praised the purple-haired love of yours as your eyes looked around the kitchen at all the decorations. Your lips met his quickly in a small thank you kiss as his arms slid behind your waist and clasped together at the small of your back.
“Yeah, thanks man,” Sam stated as he nodded at Colby, his arms wrapped around his own girlfriend, “and thank you too, baby.” As soon as the words left his lips, he pressed them to Katrina’s in a heartbeat.
“Well, isn’t it just a love fest in here,” Reggie joked when he entered to room, noticing how close and wrapped up the two couples were.
“Ewwww,” Jake dragged out the word when he caught sight of what his older brother was talking about.
“Oh, shut up, Jake. I’ve seen you and Tara and y’all can be plenty affectionate,” you scolded the childlike boy who showed you his dimpled smile.
“I’ve almost walked in on them being hella in love if you know what I mean,” Corey popped into the conversation, causing laughter to fill the room.
“Let’s get this party started!” Tara shouted when she walked in with a plastic kazoo placed between her plump lips before blowing into the instrument.
“Kazoos?” you asked Colby when you turned to face him.
“That was actually Kat’s idea,” he informed you before your eyes met hers.
“What? I thought it’d be fun,” she shrugged innocently as she giggled against Sam’s chest.
“You must’ve forgotten we’re friends with them,” you joked, pointing towards Tara, Jake, and Corey who were having a contest to see who the loudest kazoo player could be. Well, Jake and Corey were in each other’s faces playing loudly while Tara stood between them playing her own rendition of a Harry Styles song on her kazoo.
“Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea,” Kat admitted while she watched the competition go down across the counter.
“As long as they’re having fun, then what’s the harm,” you spoke as a chuckle fell past your glossed lips.
“I love you, you know that, right?” Colby whispered in your ear before your attention was turned back towards him. The corners of your lips turned upwards in a grin as you nodded at the boy.
“How could I not know that? Look around. Someone does not do all this for someone he kinda likes. You did it for two people you love, and we love you too. I love you so much, Colbs.” He could not resist kissing you again, the combination of love radiating between the two of you and with how well Cassie had dressed you making you completely irresistible in his sapphire eyes.
“Come upstairs. I want to show you what I got you,” he mumbled as he slipped his hand in yours and led you up the flight of stairs. “It’s on the bed.”
“Are you serious, Colby? Sam and I saw this earlier! Did he tell you I was in love with it?” you asked in shock when your eyes fell upon the baby Yoda plushie sitting between the dark pillows.
“No, I got this a while ago,” he told you when you picked up the soft stuffed toy, cradling it in your arms.
“This is perfect. All of it is perfect,” you muttered as tears brimmed your eyes at how happy you were in that very moment.
“You’re perfect,” Colby commented before pulling you closer to him. You dropped the plush toy on the bed as your arms found their place around his neck. Your lips connected once again that night since it seemed the two of you could not get enough of each other. The kiss deepened when you slipped your tongue in after tugging lightly at his hair.
“There’s a party going on downstairs just for you,” Colby reminded you before rejoining his lips with yours.
“I’m sure they won’t miss us for a little bit and anyway it’s Sam’s birthday too so they can celebrate him until we get back down there.”
“Sounds like a plan, princess.”

And When I am Formulated, Sprawling on a Pin - Chapter Twenty-One: Tread Softly
I’m sure some of you have been looking forward to this chapter. Some truths are starting to come out now :)
I know I put this on every chapter, but if you’re new here, this is a Chishiya x OC/Reader fic, and i’ve put the link to the full fic on AO3 right here.
Enjoy! And thanks so much for reading! You have no idea how much it means to me <3
----------------------------------------------
A shiver swept through me, and everything went still. The flames, the tendrils of smoke, the gunfire, they all blurred into nothing, and all that mattered was this very moment.
‘The other day, you asked me for the reason why you’re here,’ he said, ‘but the real reason had nothing to do with your usefulness to the Beach. It was because you were useful to me.’
He spoke as if he were telling a well-rehearsed story, as if he’d predicted this outcome all along. He wasn’t even looking at me, but simply staring off into the smoke.
‘From our first game together, it was obvious you cared too much about others. I was looking for a third person to complete the plan, and after the Tag game, when I brought you to that pharmacy, I knew you were perfect.’
Every word sent a new wave of disappointment washing over me, eventually settling and making way for numbness, as I realised how much he had played me for a fool. And the most devastating part was that I should have seen it coming. After all, he was the one who’d told me my naivety would be the death of me.
‘And after that?’
‘Everything I did after that was all to gain your trust.’ When he finally looked at me, his expression was indifferent. Detached. ‘I was going to send you into the royal suite, just like Arisu.’
The wind shifted, and the cards grazed around our feet, settling once again on the rooftop. An orange glow had lit up the hotel windows, and as the fire spread, it sent embers floating up into the night sky. And in the middle of it all, was the million-dollar question.
‘So why am I still alive?’
‘Because somewhere along the way,’ he said, ‘I changed my mind.’
But... why?
He was speaking in riddles, evading my question like he evaded everything, and quite frankly, I was tired of it. I just wanted out, and to not have to worry about whether he was going to throw me under the bus.
‘What are you saying?’
‘I’m saying I decided against the idea.’ He sighed, his expression darkening almost imperceptibly. ‘I’m not sure exactly when the decision happened. It crept up behind me, without me realizing it.’
I froze.
‘It sort of creeps up behind you, and by the time you realise it’s there, it’s too late. You’re already trapped.’
Those words… they were mine, back from that time in the jewellery store. He knew how I felt, and he was still trying to get into my head and twist me.
My fists clenched. ‘Stop,’ I hissed. ‘Stop trying to play with me like this.’
‘Play with you?’ His eyes shone with amusement. ‘Who says I’m playing with you?’
Hot tears spilled down my cheeks, and I squeezed my hands until the fingernails cut sharp crescents into my palms. The flash of pain offered little remedy. The fact that he was toying with me so casually... I didn’t know whether I loved or hated him.
‘You were going to use me for something else then,’ I said. ‘If not for your plan, I would have come pretty handy in a game. A human shield, maybe.’
He laughed, a soft huff of air. ‘The thought did come to mind, but like I said, I decided against it.’
Despite how much I wanted him to leave me alone and let me focus on finishing the game, there was still a part of me that childishly clung onto the hope that he was telling the truth. I despised that part... I wanted to stamp in into the ground until it was buried forever.
‘I can’t....’ I shook my head. ‘I don’t understand.’
For a long moment, he stared at the rooftop in quiet contemplation, and then he spoke. The words were low, slipping out as if they didn’t truly want to be heard, and something inside of me buckled.
‘You’re a train whistle.’
I cried, hard. Even while the wind scattered the cards around our feet, and the gunfire slowly ebbed away, I sobbed into my hands like a child because this was my dream, the vision that I had wanted for myself. Yet here he was, standing before me with his trickster smile and his cruel apathy, trying to steal it from me.
‘I’m sorry.’ I rubbed the tears from my face with the backs of my hands. ‘I just can’t believe you.’
His jaw tightened for a fraction of a second. ‘You can’t believe me, or you don’t?’
‘Both,’ I replied. ‘If you’re telling the truth, you’d have to find a way to prove it. And even then, you’ve lied so much, I just can’t trust anything you say anymore, even if I really want to.’
‘And if I found proof?’
I shook my head. ‘You can’t.’
That was the cold hard reality.
However, there was another reality, one that was surrounding us in swathes of smoke gusting from the windows downstairs. The fire in the hotel was spreading fast, aided by the cold breeze that seeped through the singed holes in the back of my hoodie and sent goosebumps across my skin. Chishiya didn’t seem particularly bothered by the flames. His impassive gaze was focused on the ground, and he seemed preoccupied with something else.
Probably whatever ‘proof’ he’s going to concoct.
‘We should pick these up and go back inside,’ I said, drying my eyes on my sleeve and eyeing the playing cards dotted across the rooftop. ‘We need to find the witch before we all burn alive.’
Chishiya was silent as he helped me collect the cards before the wind carried them off. Once we re-entered the hotel, I could hear his footsteps following behind me, but I didn’t turn. Until the timer on our phones ticked down to zero, we would be allies and nothing more.
------------------------------------------
The halls were empty, and as we made our way to the balcony overlooking the lobby, it became clear why. All of the survivors were gathered here, including Aguni and the militants. Chishiya and I stayed close behind a pillar, remaining hidden on the floor above while watching the scene. The air was stiff as the survivors backed away, crying before the militants who waited with their guns poised.
‘Kill them all,’ Aguni said.
The militants readied themselves, adjusting their grip, all except one who shakily clutched his gun. ‘Jun,’ he said to the man beside him. ‘I can’t... I just can’t do this anymore.’
‘We’ve gone too far to stop,’ Jun replied. ‘There’s no way we can go back to our original lives after killing this many people’
I flinched as Aguni kicked Jun to the ground. ‘You heard me before, right? Anyone who goes against me is a witch.’ His expression turned dark, and he pointed his gun at Jun’s head.
‘Shoot me then!’ Jun cried.
I bit my lip, my fingers tightening around the balcony as Aguni placed his finger on the trigger.
‘That’s enough!’
That voice… he’s alive.
A familiar face appeared from the sidelines, and the crowd parted to make way for Usagi, the girl in the yellow t-shirt from earlier, and a boy I knew to be named Tatta. Between them, they were supporting a heavily injured Arisu. Blood was smeared across his face and clothes, but I was glad to see that he had made it.
I should go down there, I thought. I should be supporting them.
I made a move towards the staircase, only for Chishiya to wrap a hand around my forearm. Glaring, I tried to yank myself free. He only tightened his grip in response and shook his head.
‘Let’s end this game!’ Tatta said, moving back to let his friend stand upright.
Arisu hobbled over to Aguni. ‘I was tied up by you guys the entire time, even before the murder happened. I can’t be the witch, and if none of you guys are the witch, there’s no need to kill me. Please cooperate with me.’
Aguni casually strolled over, then smashed his fist into Arisu’s nose. There was a crunch as he kicked him square in the chest, and Arisu’s body rolled across the floor. I recoiled, turning my head in the direction of the staircase – anything not to have to look at Arisu’s bloodied features. Chishiya’s fingers squeezed.
Once again, Arisu stood up to face Aguni, who advanced like a predator. Before he could swing a punch, Usagi lunged at him. He tossed her aside like a rag doll.
‘I see now,’ she said, scowling from where she lay sprawled on the floor. ‘The reason you attacked Arisu even though he’s the only one with an alibi, it’s because you’re the witch.’
There was a moment where Aguni hesitated. Something unreadable came over his face, then he spoke, confident. ‘That’s right. I’m the witch.’
The room filled with whispers. Several people took a step back, eyeing the guns of the militants and Aguni’s unwavering certainty. There was something about it that didn’t sit right with me. Aguni had more of a reason to kill Arisu and Usagi than he did Momoka. Not to mention Kuina had been guarding outside his room earlier. He had been in there all evening.
‘Why is he lying?’ I whispered to Chishiya.
His mouth tilted knowingly. ‘I have a feeling we’ll find out soon.’
I bet he already knows who the witch is.
I scanned the room, trying to figure it out for myself, but there were so many elements to this puzzle. Aguni wasn’t the witch, that was obvious. He probably murdered Hatter though, and I had a feeling there was more to it than just rising tensions. It was only when he walked towards the militants’ outstretched guns, daring them to shoot him, that the bigger picture started to come together.
He wants to die…
Hatter’s death, he felt guilty for it, and now he wanted to die. Could that mean they had been genuine friends before things at the Beach got out of control? But that still didn’t make Aguni the witch. If this was a Hearts game, the real witch was someone we’d least expect… a solution that would leave us distraught.
Apparently, I wasn’t alone in thinking this, as Arisu yelled, ‘don’t shoot him! Aguni’s not the witch!’ With Usagi’s help, he lifted his head from the ground. ‘This is a Ten of Hearts game. Killing him won’t help you win.’
He’s right, it’s a Hearts game, which means the witch will be hidden in plain sight.
The rules stated that we had to find the witch and burn her body. They never mentioned anything about killing anybody, and the rules never lied.
It’s a solution that that still involves burning a body…
My eyes drifted to Momoka.
‘He has an ulterior motive,’ Arisu continued, struggling to his feet. ‘The one you killed wasn’t Momoka… it was Hatter. I found out after I saw your eyes. They were the same eyes I had after killing my best friends.’ He stumbled into middle of the room until he stood face to face with Aguni. ‘If you had this many firearms, the militants would have gained control a long time ago. In reality, you and hatter were both helping each other. There was no conflict at all. You were best friends with Hatter in reality, right?’
With one subtle twitch, Aguni’s expression gave him away, and he crashed his fist into Arisu’s head. Several people jumped onto his back, but he shook them off easily, picking up Arisu by the scruff and socking him once again in the jaw. It was hard to believe he was still conscious as he writhed on the carpet.
‘Just who is the witch?’ Usagi cried.
‘I know who it is,’ Arisu whispered. He swayed as he got to his feet. Then he pointed across the room, and everyone turned to the body lying there. ‘It’s possible that the witch is Momoka herself.’
I looked at Chishiya who was calm as ever. ‘You knew this already, right?’
He smirked softly. ‘So did you.’
For the tiniest second, there was something else in his expression, something I didn’t have a name for, and some of the pain I felt softened in response. But the moment disappeared, as down below, the room erupted into disorder.
‘What a joke!’ Aguni threw Arisu to the floor yet again. This time, the action sparked something as all the remaining survivors threw themselves at Aguni, swarming in an attempt to subdue him. With gritted teeth, he flung them aside one by one. ‘I’m the witch!’ he yelled. ‘It’s me!’
It was no use. They circled him in a mess of limbs, arms grabbing and pulling desperately. If they could take him down, or at least keep him distracted, there was a chance the game could finally be cleared. But then a new voice broke through the madness, and things took a strange, strange turn down the rabbit hole.
‘Listen up everyone!’ The girl in the yellow t-shirt, Momoka’s best friend, stood unflinching in the middle of the room. ‘I’m the dealer for this game!’
A bright red laser struck the ceiling and pierced her body. She dropped, limp against the floor.
A Dealer?
My mouth fell open in surprise, and at the same time, it all fell into place… the reason why certain games had others playing against us… why they seemed to be designed and run by gamemasters rather than computers. Were the people in this world split into dealers and players?
I glanced at Chishiya finding him equally taken aback. His fingers slackened around my arm, and seeing my opportunity, I pulled away, heading towards the stairs.
The least I can do is help them carry Momoka’s body to the fire.
I didn’t get far. Chishiya’s hand grabbed my hood and dragged me right back. I staggered, trying to get away from him after everything he’d done, only to freeze when he said firmly, ‘not just yet.’
‘Why?’ I hissed. ‘So you can use me as a shield in case they see us?’
He didn’t reply, but the look on his face left no room for discussion. Everything inside me bristled as he kept his hand tight around my wrist. He had no right, no right whatsoever to do this, keeping me here without even telling me why. However, the sting was washed away when I saw Kuina stumble into the room, Ann by her side.
Kuina!
It was such a relief and a joy to see her alive and uninjured, although at the same time I wondered how much she was in on. Did she know that Chishiya had been manipulating me? Was she only friends with me because he had told her to be? She had mentioned once that he was the one who asked her to bring me food that time when we first met. The confusion was tearing me apart; I no longer knew what was real and what was fabricated.
Ann held up the missing knife from the body. ‘The fingerprints on the handle show a reverse grip,’ she said. ‘Momoka killed herself.’
It only meant one thing; she had committed suicide for the sake of starting the game.
Then in that case, they were both ‘dealers’, whatever that means.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about this now. Were they forced to participate, or did they choose to create all this mess themselves? If so, why would they want to do something like this? And why would the girl in the yellow t-shirt help Arisu if she was in on the game?
‘FIVE MINUTES REMAINING.’
The acrid scent of burning fabric filled the air, and everyone looked around, trying to pinpoint the source.
The fire!
I had forgotten all about it, and now there was no time to waste standing around like this.
‘We only have minutes left!’ Kuina shouted. ‘We need to get her body onto the fire.’
Several people scrambled to lift Momoka’s body and bring this entire massacre to an end. No more deaths. No more blood. No more betrayal. However, this was just wishful thinking, cut short by gunshots bursting through the lobby. A familiar figure stumbled out through the smoke, and I instinctively took a step back.
Niragi’s alive?!
He’d wrapped his torn shirt around his head, and every inch of his upper body was blistered with glistening red burns. In his hand was a submachine gun, and with an animalistic growl, he unleashed a spray of bullets throughout the room.
Bodies flew back and tumbling to the ground, blood splattering the walls and carpet as people stumbled over one another in a frantic struggle to escape. I saw Arisu and Usagi duck, while others crouched low, covering their heads. Bullets ricocheted off the walls as Niragi aimed wildly in every direction, shooting everything that moved.
And then he looked up.
Even through the charred skin and the tatters of fabric, that familiar glint shone in his eyes when they locked with mine. Teeth bared in unrestrained fury, he raised his gun.
I felt Chishiya’s hands on my shoulders.
It’s just sound and fury…
He fired.

~summary: The night your life blew up sent you on a collision course with the campus bad boy, Kim Taehyung. Though you were well aware of his reputation, it was his doorstep you ran to when you were bleeding with nowhere to go.
~word count: 1.5k

Warnings: violence, swearing, interrogation, torture (warnings apply to each part individually, please read them)
~a/n: okay, when I was dividing my chapters I didn’t really think about how long each part was, I just split them where it felt right. sooo I’ve ended up with this really short part, but as an apology for that I will be uploading the final part early, on Thursday instead of Sunday!!
Also if anyone is interested in checking out more of my work, I now have a masterlist up and I posted a halloween Jimin fic earlier this week - find it here
Tumblr media
Taehyung closed his door behind him and leant against it, shutting his eyes and exhaling.
They had made it out of angel. Just.
Entering in a car, they raised no suspicion. He had been lying on the floor of the back seat with Jimin, three boys crammed in above him while Yoongi crouched in the boot. The base leader had agreed to wait for the car, saying it was expected, though they made sure the handful of guards all saw the driver as he was waved through, known as one of Shinhyuk’s.
Their modern-day trojan horse then opened, and as planned, the head of the base had placed the whole building in lockdown, pretending to be surprised that the bangtan boys were found inside. Thus, Shinhyuk had been locked in his office, and the guards sent to man his door were all defects too, doing nothing while their boss pounded on the door, all in pretence of protecting him.
Of the guards they passed, only about half were still under Shinhyuk’s thumb, and they fought their way through with ease, all six of them come to rescue their brother.
Eventually, they were all positioned as lookouts while Jin and Jimin fetched the younger, but Shinhyuk had overridden the system and let himself out before they had left the final door.
In the end, they were in a standoff as Yoongi frantically hacked through the last code lock to freedom, hopefully flooding their system with enough malware to keep Shinhyuk occupied for some time, even if they hadn’t taken him down.
It had been a close one, but they made it. They always did.
Opening his eyes again, he let himself dwell on what was ahead instead. The only light in the house filtered underneath the bedroom door, so he climbed the stairs to greet you with a smile on his face.
But the room was empty.
“Y/N?” he yelled, spinning around.
Next he ran to the bathroom, pounding on the door, but it fell open straight away. It was unlocked, empty and dark.
Stumbling back out onto the landing, he tugged a hand through his hair. Already, his breathing was accelerating and he spun around again, eyes looking left and right as though you might suddenly jump out at him.
“Y/N?” he cried, feet pounding down the stairs.
He tore through the downstairs space, finding it equally abandoned.
His thoughts were tripping over each other as he stood in the centre of the living room, cold terror pulsing through his veins. Fumbling hands reached for his phone and shakily he pulled up Namjoon’s contact.
“She’s gone.”
Tumblr media
You flinched as soon as your eyes cracked open. Only a flickering yellow light lit the room, but you had just surfaced from complete darkness. Swallowing, you found your throat dry, your head throbbing.
Trying to stretch your aching shoulders, nothing budged. Your hands were fastened behind you with rough and unyielding rope, pulling your shoulders painfully against the back of a chair. Warm liquid had soaked the top of your sleeve.
“Oh good.”
A rough voice broke through your haze of pain and you opened your eyes again.
In the middle of the room stood a stocky, balding man, dressed in a smart black shirt though it was rumpled. But it wasn’t the sight of him that made you gasp. You were tied up in the middle of your old living room.
The space was the same, except guns lay on the coffee table and duffel bags were piled up in one corner. Not to mention the two burly guards standing at either corner.
“So you’re the girl that’s been causing such a fuss,” the man who must be Shinhyuk rose from your dad’s tatty sofa and strode towards you, “I must say I’m impressed. Jintao, or should I say, Jake, assured me he knew you from college, and knew where you might run.
“We never expected this. Running off to join bangtan? But I suppose you had fun while your father worried sick about you, didn’t you, little slut.”
You could do nothing but stare down at Shinhyuk’s smart shoes. Dread had joined the pain filling your body.
“I was impressed that your little friends were able to escape me earlier,” he told you. Your head rose a little, sighing in relief as you heard they had made it out, “but I wasn’t worried. Now I have you to bring them back in.”
Chewing your lip, you prayed they wouldn’t come.
“Now,” Shinhyuk suddenly bent down, his hand gripping your cheeks harshly while you threw your head about, trying to throw him off. He just laughed, showing his teeth, “your lovely dad’s on the way to see you right now. And it’ll be a much sweeter reunion if I can show him to you unharmed.”
Your blood ran cold, still jerking away from his touch.
“And once your boyfriends get here, I won’t sentence you as badly if you just answer some questions I have.”
Wolfishly, he grinned, finally releasing you from his grimy fingers. In your chest, your heart thudded against your ribcage as you wondered what you could do.
“I want you to tell me where their properties are.”
Not meeting his eyes, you stayed silent.
Tutting, he crossed the room back to you, hand meeting your cheek with a loud slap.
Simply staring at you, he waited as you breathed in and out, reeling from the hit.
“Fine, let’s say you don’t know,” he started up again, “let’s try something else. Are any other members of my army spies for you?”
You held your tongue, and once again were met with the palm of his hand.
“How brave you are, protecting them,” he snarled, voice deadlier by the second, “if I don’t have some answers by the time your father arrives, he’s going to feel what you are, and more. Try again.”
Helplessly, you shook your head. This time, he punched you and you felt the harsh cut of his ring into your temple, tears springing to your eyes and you let your head fall to the side, breathing heavily.
Just then, another sound met your ears.
Shinhyuk spun towards the noise whereas you didn’t move. Outside, on the side where you knew the front of the apartment to be, came a grunt and a thud. Then another, followed by silence.
Striding over to the corner where a guard stood, Shinhyuk held his hand out and gestured for something. The guard handed over a black receiver, which Shinhyuk spoke into.
“What’s going on out there? Lee? Park?”
“Two of the bangtan boys, boss, they came like you said. We’ve got ‘em on the floor.”
A sadistic smile crossed Shinhyuk’s face.
“Put them in the kitchen. I’ll deal with them in a bit.”
“Copy that,” the voice came from the other end, and crackled off.
Heart sinking to your stomach, you watched Shinhyuk approach you again with a proud smirk. Outside, you heard the front door creak open in the way it always did, before slamming shut.
“You don’t have long, sweetie,” Shinhyuk’s words made your stomach churn, “who are the spies?”
“You really don’t trust your men, do you?” you finally spoke up, already knowing it unwise. But what did you have to lose? Either your father or your friends were going to get hurt and you were panicking.
“Little bitch-“
A sharp kick landed on your shin, which was tied flush against the chair leg and took the full force. You had to bite your lip to contain your cry.
“That’s it,” he grinned, “let your friends hear you.”
Another slap.
By now your eyes were watering, face cut and smarting, but you pressed your lips together.
Your eyes had been closed, anticipating the next strike, but nothing came. Lifting your head again, you found Shinhyuk with his back to you. When he turned around, you saw he held a knife, lifting a lighter up to its edge and flicking it open, flame leaping up and dancing along the blade.
Terrified, you watched the orange glimmer reflecting in his eye as he walked towards you.
“One more chance,” he gave you the ultimatum, but you already knew your answer.
Gulping, you looked him straight in the eye, desperate not to crack. But his mouth turned to a snarl when he was faced with silence, and he jammed the lighter into your arm.
You choked on your cry, determined not to make a sound, but Shinhyuk wasn’t playing around. The hot blade pierced your arm, and you couldn’t stop it as a scream ripped from your throat, drawn out as he dragged it down, leaving you gasping.
And then several things happened at once.
“Boss!” you heard Jake – Jintao – shout from the back of the apartment.
Shinhyuk turned to the sound.
Both doors into the room burst open.
The guards raised their guns.
And there, weapons cocked and ready to face them, stood five bangtan boys.
And they were pissed as hell.

Only the Good Die Young (Part 7)
Summary: There were just a few more hoops you had to jump through before you and Bucky could be happy
Pairing: Biker!Bucky x y/n
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: Language, anti-religious sentiment, harmful relationship with parents, smut references
Author's Note: This is the Time. It’s always the time for Billy Joel. No, I haven’t taken this too far. If anything, I haven’t taken this far enough. You’ll see. You’ll all see.
This part is dedicated to the anon message I got earlier which simply read ‘UPDATE OTGDY ITS SO GOOD’, cause the mix of affection and vaguely threatening demand absolutely made my day. I love you, whoever you are.
---
You spent the whole next day researching places you could move to. Something small, cosy and close to the beach would’ve been ideal, but anything a significant distance away with four walls and a roof would do.
You tried to get some preferences out of Bucky, but he insisted that he wasn’t picky, and that he’d be happy as long as you were.
When he got back from work you cornered him in the kitchen, enthusiastically telling him about everything you’d found. He’d had a pretty long day, but your excitement seemed to cheer him up a bit.
Not long afterwards, the two of you were curled up on the couch, flicking through beautiful, unbelievably expensive beachfront properties and dreaming about the kind of future in which you could afford them.
Your current situation, however, was presenting issues of its own- the most pressing one being that most of your belongings were still at your parents’ house.
There was a vague plan in your head for how you were going to retrieve them but, in all honesty, you were really trying not to think too much about it. You had a terrible tendency to overthink, and doing that would only cause you to put it off for longer.
Unfortunately, you’d completely forgotten to tell Bucky all this, so he decided to bring it up casually while you were doing the dishes.
‘So, when are we paying your folks a visit?’
‘We’re not.’ He flung the dish cloth over his shoulder and shot you a confused frown. ‘I still have a key, so I was thinking we’d sneak over on Sunday morning while they’re at church.’
‘Damn, that’s a shame. I’d really like to get to know them better.’
‘You’re such an ass.’ You grabbed a handful of soap bubbles and blew them at him, laughing as he tried to protect his hair. ‘They’d only call the cops on you anyway.’
‘That’s half the fun of it.’
You spun round and playfully pointed your finger at him. ‘I thought we’d established that I am not cut out for being a prison girlfriend. For one, I couldn’t pull off the juicy couture tracksuit.’
A mischievous smile spread across his face. ‘Oh you definitely could.’
---
Sunday came around a little too fast for your liking.
The two of you walked to your parents’ house, but only after you’d taken an unbelievably long time convincing Bucky that he wouldn’t be able to strap two suitcases to the back of his bike.
He’d also suggested towing them on their castors, like trailers.
You were moving in with this man.
The closer you got, the tighter your grip on Bucky’s hand became. When the house came into view and you saw that the car was gone, you calmed down a little, but still stayed extremely cautious in your approach.
As long as you’d been alive they’d never missed Sunday mass, however, by this point, you’d completely given up trying to predict their behaviour. You wouldn’t have been surprised if they’d both stuffed themselves into the mailbox, waiting to jump out at you.
With the coast seemingly clear, you unlocked the house and scurried inside.
Bucky stepped through the door and immediately couldn’t hold in his laughter. You weren’t sure if it was all the crucifixes, the bible quote plaques on the kitchen wall or the plastic coated sofa cushions, but he was endlessly amused.
After letting him have his fun for a while, you gestured for him to follow you upstairs. Reaching your bedroom door, you turned to warn him about how your mother’s taste had inexplicably worsened while decorating in there, but he’d disappeared.
You heard faint chuckling coming from your parents’ bedroom.
Rolling your eyes and huffing, you trudged through to see him holding their bedside bible, flicking through it amusedly.
‘What are you doing Buck?’
‘I’m trying to find the bit where it tells you which sex positions are god-approved.’
He caught you off guard, making you burst out laughing. Your mother would absolutely flip her shit if she found out Bucky had been in her bedroom, but knowing that made you much less likely to drag him out.
‘Try Leviticus.’ You strolled over and rested your chin on his shoulder. ‘That’s where all the weird stuff is.’
He raised a cheeky eyebrow and started skimming faster through the book, stopping occasionally to read a few lines, feign disappointment at the content, and rip the page out. You tried to grab it from him, but he moved it just out of your reach and carried on.
‘Oh here it is.’ Still holding the book with one hand, he suddenly grabbed you round the waist with his other arm and pushed you onto your parents’ bed, climbing on top of you. ‘Let’s give some of these a try.’
You laughed as he threw the bible onto the floor and started kissing down your neck. Brushing your hand over his hair, you almost got lost in the moment, before remembering how little time you had before your parents got back.
‘We really don’t have time for this Buck.’
‘We always have time for something that’ll piss your mom off.’
You shoved his shoulders playfully, making him reluctantly push himself back onto his feet and pull you up after him.
The two of you walked through to your room, leaving the bed sheets messed up and bible pages scattered all over the floor. You didn’t mind her thinking something had happened, even though it hadn’t. You just wished you could’ve seen the look on her face.
Time was ticking but, thankfully, you’d never had the chance to properly unpack anyway. All you really had to do was grab one or two things and zip your suitcases back up.
‘Jesus Christ, are your clothes made of lead?’ Bucky’s only job was to help carry the cases downstairs, yet he still found cause for complaint.
‘Oh that one is mainly textbooks. That’s why you’re carrying it.’
He frowned, still bent double, dragging the suitcase into the hallway. ‘Can’t you just leave those here? You’re not gonna need them.’
‘I know, but my parents paid for them, and I’m gonna resell them. Will probably fetch a decent chunk of our first month’s rent.’
He stood up straight and gave you a proud smile. ‘I knew there was a reason I liked you.’
He disappeared down the hallway as you finished gathering your last few things. You zipped up the second case and rolled it out of your bedroom, endlessly relieved thinking about how you never had to come back here.
Even if your current plans didn’t work out, you were determined that this severing of ties was permanent.
As you reached the bottom of the stairs, you saw Bucky on the sidewalk outside, sitting on your suitcase and lighting a cigarette. He looked up towards you, but his attention was immediately caught by something else, making his face drop. You stepped through the door and followed his gaze.
It was your parents’ car, pulling up on the driveway.
They must’ve left church early. Of course that’d happen on the one day you really needed it not to.
You tried to come up with some course of action, but all that was going through your mind was fuckshitfuck.
You heard the fast clicking of heels against stone and your mother appeared from behind the car, storming towards Bucky with her usual venomous expression.
‘Get off of my property.’
He looked down. ‘Um, I’m pretty sure this is a sidewalk.’
You yanked your suitcase over the threshold and slammed the door behind you, drawing her attention.
‘What do you think you’re doing?’ She screeched, probably waking up every baby within a five-mile-radius.
You didn’t respond, marching away from the house as fast as possible and keeping your gaze fixed on the ground. Before you reached the sidewalk, you felt a hand grip your arm tight and yank you back, almost pulling you off your feet. You turned round to see your father, looking like he was ready to kill someone.
Before you could really process what was happening, Bucky had planted himself in front of you, giving your father’s shoulders an almighty shove. Your arm was released as they squared up to each other, your mother in the wings encouraging her husband to start throwing punches- cause that’s what good Catholics do.
Then something happened that you wouldn’t have predicted in a million years.
Bucky walked away.
He reached for your hand and led you back to the sidewalk, grabbing the other suitcase without breaking stride. The two of you hustled away from the house as fast as you could, not looking back or responding to anything shouted after you.
Despite what’d just happened, you couldn’t help but crack a smile. You’d never seen him walk away from a fight on his own before.
---
The walk home was quiet once your parents’ voices had faded into the distance. You kept glancing over to see if he looked angry, but he seemed alright.
Was this… progress?
When you got home, Bucky dragged your suitcases into the middle of the front room and unzipped them both. By the time you’d made it through the apartment door, your clothes were littered all over the place and he was wearing a pair of your best underwear stretched over his jeans.
‘I like these.’
You were pretty shocked at how good a mood he seemed to be in, but you weren’t about to question it.
‘It’s a shame you’ve stretched them beyond all recognition, then.’
You chased him round, trying to yank them off him for a while, but he was a slippery little fucker when he wanted to be.
You debated properly unpacking all your clothes, eventually figuring that you were moving soon anyway, so there was really no point.
So, your overflowing suitcases ended up piled in the corner, and you and Bucky ended up tangled together on the couch for the next couple hours. It was so nice just being able to relax and decompress after such a shitty situation, usually you’d just be arguing or cleaning his wounds.
You were almost at the point of nodding off, when Buck unceremoniously jolted you back awake by jumping up and proclaiming his next great idea.
‘Alright, there’s gotta be somewhere nice in this stinking town. I’m gonna take you out on a proper date.’
‘Yeah?’ A warm, sleepy smile spread across your face.
‘Yeah.’ He lifted you off the couch and threw you over his shoulder. ‘C’mon let’s get you dressed.’
You dug around for something nice, half-dreading what Bucky had planned for the evening. He was great in so many ways, but you were struggling to forget that the last time he took you for a night out, he ended up leaving in a cop car.
---
You kept trying to guess your destination from the route Bucky was taking you, but you came up with nothing. The only time you’d been to this part of town was when you were fourteen and your dad brought you to help collect a life-size, wooden virgin Mary statue that he’d bought from a seedy guy at church.
Sometimes you wondered if your childhood was actually just a series of really vivid fever dreams...
Bucky pulled you into his side as you were walking. ‘We’re nearly there.’
‘If this is another dive bar I swear to god-’
‘You think so little of me.’ You raised an unamused eyebrow. ‘Yeah, fair enough.’
You turned the corner, and almost had to double-take. It was a little Italian restaurant, tucked between some vague office buildings but lit up like a golden Christmas tree. It looked like it couldn’t seat more than ten people, but that just added to its charm. Bucky led you inside and the waiter sat you at a little table in the corner.
He’d really nailed it, the place was beautiful.
You both ordered and sat in comfortable silence for a minute, taking in your surroundings. Maybe it was more than a minute, you weren’t too sure, you’d gotten a little lost in your thoughts.
‘What’s up?’ Bucky snapped you back to reality. ‘That’s your deep thinking face.’
‘I dunno, it’s just... I keep forgetting that we’ve only properly known each other for a few weeks. It feels like we’ve lived through a lifetime.’
He leant back, smirking a little as he thought about it. ‘I guess someday we’ll look back and have to laugh.’
‘Someday?’
‘Oh yeah. I've got plans for you.’
You smirked and narrowed your eyes a little, leaning towards him and whispering ‘I know it probably wasn’t intentional, but that sounded vaguely threatening.’
He chuckled into his glass, wincing slightly before swallowing the wine. You told him you really wouldn’t mind him sticking to beer, but he insisted that he wanted to go the whole hog with this fancy dinner-date. It was just a shame that the bottle he’d ordered completely at random ended up tasting like ass, bless him.
You’d been meaning to bring up what’d happened earlier on the walk over, but you’d struggled to find the right moment or to come up with wording that wasn’t unbelievably patronising.
Well done for not punching my dad by the way, really proud of you kiddo.
‘I also wanted to say.’ Here goes nothing. ‘What you did today, I really appreciated it.’
‘What, wearing your underwear?’
You gave him a playful scowl before smiling and reaching over the table, placing your hands on his.
‘I know sometimes you struggle to control this self-destructive streak, but you walked away from a fight today. I’ve never seen you do that before, it really meant a lot.’
His smile slowly dropped. Shit, had you upset him? That was about as diplomatically as you could have worded it. Maybe you should’ve just kept quiet.
‘It hardly makes up for all the other times, though.’ His eyes flicked away from yours, moving down to stare at your hands. ‘Y’know, before you came back, the stuff I did… it was some kind of miracle that I survived.’
‘Don’t say that.’
‘It’s true. It was more than a self-destructive streak, I really just had nothing to live for.’
Jesus, that knocked you back. You felt like you’d been winded. The worst part was that he didn’t even look upset, he’d just fallen into this heart-breaking expression of sunken acceptance.
You squeezed his hands hard. ‘Things are good now, that’s what matters.’
He nodded, looking back up at you and forcing a smile.
Now more than ever, you realised how important it was for you two get away from this town and start again. Maybe it wouldn’t be enough to completely disconnect him from the guilt of his past, but it would at least make it all seem a little further away.
You just knew that you were desperate to help him, and you were willing to try anything.

45+ Roman
45. baby shower
Tumblr media
swathed in a white linen gown and a daisy chain headpiece, you watched as letha glew with light and love as she caressed her swollen belly. she was surrounded by discarded tissue paper and crumbled pastel wrapping paper, a tied ribbon from one of her gifts around her neck as a makeshift necklace.
the baby shower was small and intimate, a few girls from school and a cousin or two from her mother’s side. norman had been shooed out of the house by marie a few hours before, so you both could set up the festivities for her daughter. marie, while still totally against letha having a child, seemed to have embraced it enough to get excited about a baby shower. she had planned it to a tee, not letting your input disrupt her vision of danish style party; all linen and burlap in muted colors, with large elaborate flower displays around the home.
you had to admit, it was beautiful. It felt very scerne, and it was something that you knew letha would love. and when she arrived downstairs after sleeping through until mid morning, it was clear she did. the smile that had crept up on her lips hadn’t washed away all day. you had never seen a woman so excited and overjoyed to be pregnant and having a child.
with a mimosa in hand, you sipped it leisurely as letha gushed to a cousin about a onsie in her hand. she had been spread thin this afternoon, everyone wanting to touch her belly and give her their warm wishes for her and her child. you had barely gotten a moment alone with her, or a moment to steal her attention, but you really didn’t mind. you were enjoying just watching her be happy. totally and completely happy.
as your drink dwindled, you felt your phone vibrate. you already suspected who it was, and it was confirmed by the large R❤️ that popped up followed by here. you downed the flat champagne and remnants of orange juice, before you discreetly snuck out the back to let roman and peter in.
you crept to the back door where you found peter and roman both holding sides of a large box.
“try and be quiet,” you whispered, leaning against the door as they filed in.
roman wiggled his eyebrows at you and you grinned.
“nice get up,” he murmured as he passed you.
you stomach clenched at his comment and you rolled your eyes flirtatiously.
as the heads of the part, marie had gotten you and her similar dresses to letha’s. it was a bit long for you taste, but it was quite thin and see through, which made it feel more like a sexy nightgown than anything else, which you appreciated; especially when you knew roman was going to be coming over with the crib.
before you could even turn around from the back door, you heard all the women squeal with excitement. you returned back to the living room to see letha hugging roman tight and pecking his cheek warmly, then throwing herself onto peter and smothering him in kisses. you couldn’t help but chuckle at roman’s scowl, knowing that he paid for the lion's share of the crib.
you watched from a distance as the boys described the crib to letha, as she thanked them profusely. you watched as the other girls in attendance stood on at the corners of the room, making eyes at roman and giving each other whispering giggles when he looked at them. you wished you could tell them they weren’t cut out for roman and all he came with. hell, sometimes you didn’t think you were either.
maybe that’s why you were just as you were with him; for years, much more than friends, but still much less than a relationship.
soon, marie lost her patience with the boy started to push them out the door. she practically had her hands on their shoulders to escort them out when you cut in on her strong arming.
“i got it,” you assured her, as peter gave letha one last kiss goodbye and was followed by roman to the door.
as the three of you headed for the back door, where peter’s truck was parked, you felt roman’s hand come to press against the small of your back. the little show of affection made the flutters in your stomach so much worse. every time he touched you made your nervous system go crazy. his hand slide up in between your shoulder blades as you reached the back porch. you watched as peter retreated down the steps and he and roman exchanged a look before he got into the driver’s seat without a word.
“so,” roman drawled, his fingers coming to fiddle in your ends of your hair, “i now know that you would look very sexy as a member of a cult.”
you hummed, “good to know. i will keep that in mind in if i ever fall under a jim jones spell.”
his fingers made their way from your hair to cup back of your neck, his thumb gently stroking the side of your throat.
“so what? no godfrey cult for you?” he smirked.
“nah,” you sighed dramatically, “i know that that guy is a sham.”
he quickly moved back to grip your hair, tight at the scalp, and grumbled something deep in his chest.
all you did was smile.
“am i seein’ you later?” he changed the subject lowly, his face descending close to your own, that he had titled up.
“hmm, i don’t know,” you pretended to ponder, “all this baby talk is getting me a little squeamish. i don’t think we need any godfrey-(y/l/n) babies running around any time soon.”
“i’ll pull out.”
“i don’t know if i trust you,” you theatrically fluttered your lashes and looked over his shoulder.
your barely contained smile was hurting your cheeks with restraint. roman quickly moved his head back into your line of sight.
“oh honey,” roman’s cooed, his menthol breath dusting your lips, “you know that’s not true.”
the heat from his skin radiated off him in waves, along with his intoxicating clonage, making you feel all sorts of relaxed and dizzy. shit, maybe he was a cult leader?
you craned your face the best you could with his restriction in your hair, but roman simply steeled his grip and pulled his face away.
“you want anymore, then you’ll have to see me later,” he purred seductively, followed by a laugh at your disgruntled whine.
he released you from his grip and took a far step away from you. the farther he got, the foggier your brain became. all you wanted was to be able to think clearly of nothing by roman, as you were in his arms.
“i’ll see you, my little cult member.” he grinned, his eyes sparkling with devious passion.
“sorry father godfrey,” you called out to him as he made his way down the back steps, “i’m not who you’re looking for. though, there are about six girls inside who are ready and waiting to hear your gospel.”
roman turned quick and efficient on his heel as he reached the passenger side of peter’s truck, “well, too bad. i choose my disciples, and i chose you. be by my side, or else.”
he stuck a pointed finger out at you, followed by a wink that showed the full extent of his charisma. you leant against a wood pillar of the porch and watched him with amorous eyes and a full, gleaming smile. roman got in the car beside his friend, but never tore  his gaze from you.
you waited until peter had pulled from the driveway and driven down the street, roman totally out of your sight, before you returned to the baby shower. you entered the kitchen with the same giddy smile on your face to see marie, a scowl on her own. her brows stitched together in worry and disgust. it was clear that she had just watched the display between you and her nephew.
“is it time for the baby naming game yet?” you asked with cheer, quickly making another mimosa and passing her without a second glance.
you didn’t care about her judgment, you had a best friend to pamper and an erotic night with her cousin to anxiously await. marie’s problems with you weren’t even on your radar.
